That's a I think we all needed a laugher White Sox Winner
Cease is still erratic but man when his release point is on ever pitch is devastating. What improvement.

The TLR Manager Thread
He didn't know how many outs there were. This is not my opinion. So to imply he had any clue about what was happening in that instance is silly.

The TLR Manager Thread
In some cases yes but last night was ridiculous, and he didn't even know how many outs there were. It was a true clownshow.

Absolutely disgraceful managing.

Great late movement for Kopech.

Rodon ready to move up and Kopech needs to stretched it sooner than later
Not sure about the comp pick, and I agree in principle they probably won't do this for optics. The last thing they want is the perception of another white flag trade. So I guess it would surprise me if they did, but from a long term perspective it makes sense.

It wouldn't surprise me at all if he keeps this up, and the Sox aren't playing really top notch baseball, that they looked to unload him at the deadline. It's a lose lose to keep him through the end of this year unless you truly think the Sox can win a championship, because there's no way Jerry is going to give him a market rate if he finishes this year with say a 3.00 era, solid peripherals, and healthy.

Lynn to IL; Burdi up
Certainly, I haven't been here long enough to really comment. I preferred Dunning's higher floor to Cease's higher ceiling, but I hope that I am wrong.

Lynn to IL; Burdi up
I think ideally Musgrove and Dunning would have been great, although partially that's hindsight because they are both looking better than expected so far. I love Lynn, he's a true hoss who just attacks batters relentlessly. But if he goes after this year it was a pointless move. I thought after they made that deal they were going all in - I was obviously a fool. One year of Lynn with a team that seems close but not quite there feels like true White Sox, a move that feels like it's more for showing the fan base they are trying to win without really doing what's required to get the team to that level. If they sign Lynn to a reasonable two year deal I will feel much better about it, obviously. I would have preferred they kept Dunning and traded Cease (if possible).

I wasn't watching (thankfully).

Sox @ Cleveland
I don't think I've ever seen anything like Grandal tonight in an MLB game.

Nice Vaughn.

Sox @ Cleveland
Grandal, again, not able to handle a pretty routine play that could have led to a cheap out on the missed plate by Luplow.

Sox @ Cleveland
Both Moncada's swings were tight and short that at bat.

Grandal just drops another pitch.

Have any of you seen Vaughn in person? I went to a couple Dash games in Myrtle Beach in 2019. Obviously this isn't based on his metrics, which are really good. He had a nice swing, hit a couple doubles in the first game I saw, has an easy ability to hit it all over the park. He was really, really small though. Clearly the shortest guy on the Dash as I was about 15 rows up along first base and you cold tell during the anthem. I'd guess he was 5'9 maybe 5'10. Obviously not a huge deal but it was striking to me.

Trade Whispers - Starting Pitchers
I think most White Sox fans would be happy to get Burnes for Madrigal/Stiever/Heuer/Sheets. I also think that's because there's no way Milwaukee would do the trade.
