Deadline Prediction Thread
Their is talk that the rangers may not want to trade Gallo. They may go after Texas native free agents Kershaw and Story and be competive in their new ball park to keep people buying tickets

Deadline Prediction Thread
I predict one of the following will be acquired at 2b: Trevor Story, Jonathon Schoop, Jorge Polonco, or Eduardo Escobar with Jake Burger being the headliner going back the other way. Each day those teams lose more leverage and if they don't move them they get nothing before free agency. Besides the sox few contenders need a middle infielder so the sox can wait for them to blink, especially with an 8 game lead and Leury an adequate replacement. C - Yadier molina if he is willing to come. One rh relief pitcher

Trade Deadline Thread
disagree, you trade a guy who is blocked in your organization, who has torn his achilles 2x for help now regardless if its a rental. As much as Burger is a good story his future is not with us. Also our first 2 draft picks this year may be moved to 3b.

Trevor Story
they haven't even let him throw multiple innings in relief yet since he has gotten back from injury. hell need to do that first.
-
Trevor Story
As an out of the box move, the sox could replace cease in the rotation with Gray and then use Cease the remainder of this year as a multi innings guy in the pen. Thou the rumor is prolly bs.
-
Trevor Story
Kopech isn't stretched out and they definetly want to limit his innings
-
Trevor Story
If true, adding another starter and going to a 6 man rotation to prevent injury, avoid dead arm periods, and limit innings for cease makes sense.

Does TLR need to light up the umpires more?
Managers rarely get ejected now because of instant replay corrects bad calls. Replay can't change strike/ball calls but arguing them is an automatic ejection. So don't expect Tony to get into too many heated arguments

All-time Soxtalk Whipping Boy
joe Crede prior to breaking his finger bunting in minnesota 2005. people wanted us to trade for Chavez. after he got back of the DL he became joe the hero Crede until his back failed.

Gavin Sheets - STUD
Gavin is a much bigger person than grace & overbay. I like that he is a good hitter and not a Palka type. The power will be there as he ages. If he is able to hit major league pitching I believe he will progress to be a 30 + homer guy.

Bummer, Marshall to IL; Kopech back, Fry up
how do you know whether our players stretch enough? Its hard for me to believe the veteran ball players have no idea how long to stretch,

Hahn: Too early to know if Sox will be buyers
i agree, but Harold Baines was also part of this Deal, And he was also nails down the stretch for us. Fourdyce hit great for us but could not throw out any would be base stealers. Johnson hit well for us, but his main asset was he was a deterrent the rest of the year to would be base stealers.

Arlington Heights White Sox?
I grew up in Arlington Heights, my house was right next to Flenty park, In the Arlington vista (for those who know the area). I had literal dreams that either the bears or sox built a stadium in the park next to my house and I walked to the games. Sure beats the youth girl softball leagues that played their when I was a kid in the 70's/80's.

Sox sweep KC; winners thread
Gio had one bad start in Boston. He won yesterday without his good stuff. He was awesome against Cleveland and got a ND. He was real good against detroit, but was left in to long. I'm not at all worried about Lucas.
