8/6/20 vs. BrewCrew @ 7:10PMCT
I need to go back and read the thread. I've watched about half the game, didn't see the bad inning for Gio. I'm thinking he is not the answer at starter. Not sure what the Sox should do in that regard. You don't want to trade prospects in a season that might get canceled any time. Not sure what Hahn should do but we need some pitchers.

Damn. Brutal. He got it good and the ball doesn't go out even in this day and age. That is one, tough break for Collins/Sox.

COVID-19/Coronavirus thread
I hope there isn't mass death. This virus really might be the end of mankind, though. Think about it. I keep hearing this will be going on 2-3 years minimum. That classifies as an "end of the world" contender considering all the harm it'll do in terms of health and hit on the food supply.

8/5 Sox vs Brewers GT
They all are trying to hit home runs. It is what it is. Modern baseball. In the ninth, the elevation in the swings was hilarious. That's OK. We'll hit a ton of home runs and win as many as we lose this year (maybe do better than that if we keep piecing together nice pitching), but it'd be nice to get Timmy back. He'll hit some doubles and singles; Madrigal too.

COVID-19/Coronavirus thread
Our county is doing well in Covid the last week and a half. Students however are returning to U of Kansas and school starts the 28th. Can't imagine anything but lotsa covid. Are Chicago public schools all online? or do kids have a choice? Are Catholic schools gonna go all online as well? It's interesting cause there have been a lot of states going online for high schools and grade schools. Nationally, however, there's a movement at least with Trump to pretty much say, "it is what it is; deal with it." I think personally this is because covid is gonna be around for years, not months, and the USA has no choice but to deal with it. Which is unfortunate for many who could die from it.

Madrigal leaves with injured shoulder - separated - out a month
Too bad Madrigal got hurt. I temporarily forgot about TA being hurt, too. Leury's gonna get all the at bats he wants just like last year. He's a good hitter IMO.

Play Leury and have him take extra infield every day. He's not a bad ballplayer. Hope for the best in RF with Mazura/Delmonico.

AND THAT'S A WHITE SOX WINNER!!!
I didn't know Yearnin was Ron. Congrats on not ripping Jose mercilessly for the chew this year.

AND THAT'S A WHITE SOX WINNER!!!
Nice to win close games especially on the road (even when there are no fans). That would have been another tough one to win with a full stadium of screaming beer drinkers/cheese lovers. Excellent pitching. Eloy the future and Jose the present with big hits. Even if you hate me, you must acknowledge my fave, Jose, has given you/us a lot of thrills. That was a smart piece of hitting. He blasted that single to left. He was only 1 for 5 but a nice spot for 1. Eloy, Robert, Moncada and Grandal are quite a foursome if they can stay healthy. It's not easy to close and I think Colome is a good closer with so so stuff if that makes any sense. He has the moxie, just not great stuff. I could be wrong. He also should work quicker. Slow workers generally annoy me. Nice win streak, always good to beat KC and Milwaukee. Feel sorry for Madrigal. As advertised he loves to hustle. Trying to make it to third there was dumb. I was thinking he'd learn from getting thrown out, then the unfortunate injury. Hopefully it's just a sore shoulder; I mean knocking the shoulder out of place on a mere slide seems excessive injury to me. But it could be subluxation; I'll say it isn't.

8/4 Sox vs Brewers GT
Oh well, time for me to shut up. I'm out. Peace.

8/4 Sox vs Brewers GT
Since I jinxed Robert, opposite jinx needed. Moncada will pop up to catcher.

8/4 Sox vs Brewers GT
Not me. I'm enjoying seeing good baseball amid the pandemic. Yes!!! The bad throw after the excellent glove work (man on 2nd no out).

8/4 Sox vs Brewers GT
Would be nice to see Robert pull an Eloy, make it 3-2 and be a hero this evening.

8/4 Sox vs Brewers GT
I mean Hahn. When a guy is as good as Eloy you should have a poker face rather than give it away that he is Dave Winfield/Dick Allen-ish. That's what I'm saying is all.
-
8/4 Sox vs Brewers GT
Probably should remove him at 100 pitches.

8/4 Sox vs Brewers GT
Makes for a great game cause Woodruff made one mistake as well and boom, 2-2.

8/4 Sox vs Brewers GT
It must have been difficult for Hahn to play poker face with the Cubs in discussions for Eloy. Guys that big and potentially strong really pass the great hitter eye test. Mabe the Cubs figured he'd constantly be running into walls and be hurt. Eloy has single-handedly assured Hahn a lifetime contract with the Sox I bet. He can sell tickets forever.

8/4 Sox vs Brewers GT
Yes he was.

8/4 Sox vs Brewers GT
Woodruff has been excellent. Says a lot that Eloy was ready to pound that pitch.

8/4 Sox vs Brewers GT
Let's add to the power/youth brigade. Bring up Vaughn baby!
-
8/4 Sox vs Brewers GT
it's not good news. He's another proven threat in Sox lineup IMO.

8/4 Sox vs Brewers GT
Cmon Zach. You are ready to contribute at this level.
-
8/4 Sox vs Brewers GT
Nice bomb. Sox have so many threats. Nice.
-
8/4 Sox vs Brewers GT
If there were fans, Sox would really have their work cut out. Brew fans are annoying and loud and hate the Sox, like KC's. Nice hit by Grandal after the pop foul!

8/4 Sox vs Brewers GT
Is Mazara good enough to be the Jermaine Dye of this world championship contending group? If indeed it is a solid contender for this year and years to come? A guy that comes in and excels?
