  1. Hays and Pereira just went back to back in Charlotte. Hays played 7 innings in RF yesterday and is DHing today, switching with Pereira who is in RF after DHing yesterday.
  2. Twins skipping at least one Ryan start with 8 games til the trade deadline...
  3. Even year Cease is just so good
  4. Oh come on. Don't you understand that this team is 3 innings away from falling to a disastrous 6 over .500?! This would be an unacceptable 3rd loss in their last 10 games!
  5. He was cruising through 5. Had a lot of long sits between innings and then ran into some bad BABIP the pen couldn't bail him out of.
  6. Shane Smith: 4.1 IP, 1 ER, 5 H, 3 BB, 3 K Hagen Smith: 2 IP, 0 ER, 0 H, 0 BB, 3 K Hagen sat 96, topped out at 97
  7. Too bad that HBP DP didn't stand lol
  8. He got a good groundball, .180 xBA, but it snuck through
  9. Lots of long sits for Martin might be catching up now Just minimize the damage and hand it to the pen
  10. Teng was starting before the ASB, so he can go long here if they let him
  11. Braden is going to be soooo good man
  12. Would like to see more from your 2-3-4 there
  13. Trade value 📈📈📈
  14. Looks like Blubaugh is stretched out enough to go 2-3 innings, ~45 pitches
  15. Dang, I hate to see guys get hurt.
  16. It's fun being back to the top of the order to start the 2nd inning
  17. They've were playing him through some nagging knee issue when we saw them last month, though this (back spasms) seems unrelated.
  18. Arrighetti had a very rough June (9 ERA over 5 starts) but has limited the damage to 1 ER in two of his last 3 starts. When he gets in trouble, it’s usually due to a mix of walks (16 over his last 5 starts) and homers (9 in his last 5). He’s allowing a .384 OBP to lefties, and has been worse on the road (5.52 ERA) than at home (3.05). He throws a kitchen sink mix headlined by a good curveball (39% whiff rate, .181 xBA against). Sits 92-93 on the 4 seamer that he throws 29% of the time to mixed results (.292xBA, .556 xSLG). Would be a nice day for the Sox to slug a few into the seats and limit the impact of the best hitter in the league on the other side. Could be a big homestand if Mune/Colson can catch a heater.
  19. This is also the start a stretch of 16 games vs. below .500 teams for them
  20. David Keller was on Foul Territory a couple days ago and again objected to how the Mune signing gets characterized as something they just got lucky and stumbled into. He said they were intentional with wanting to establish a presence in Asia and Mune was on their radar for a while even though they didn't know where the market would fall. Seemed to want to emphasize that it was a good process and not just a good result, similar to the Roch draft room discussions where you had various departments weighing in on pros/cons/projections/development plans. He mentioned that he was also scouting players from a future NBP class on his 2 week Japan trip, but didn't want to "tip their hand" on those targets.
