I'm completely over anyone on the MLB roster improving. They are what they are at this point. Moncada got so lucky with the bouncy ball in 2019, as it propelled him to over $100M in career earnings. Even if he's out of baseball in a few years, he's set for life.

Nobody's trading a lot for a fluke season that was driven by stranding runners on base and a low BABIP/HR rate. Cease's career ERAs: 2019: 5.79 2020: 4.01 2021: 3.91 2022: 2.20 2023: 4.88 One of these things is not like the other; one of these things does not belong. Cease's fastball is down a full mph and his walk rate is even worse than last year.
