  1. UFC this Saturday could be interesting. See how Liddell bounces back against someone he should clearly dominate. Shogun's debut should be a good one, Forrest is a scrapper, but in a lot of people's opinion Shogun is the top 205 in the world. The Machida/Nakamura match could be good too. Machida is kind of an internet legend due to some of the people he has beat... http://www.sherdog.com/fightfinder/fightfi...?FighterID=7513 . Nak is a solid vet who should give him a fight http://www.sherdog.com/fightfinder/fightfi...?FighterID=6943
  2. Long read, but interesting http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/news/story?id=3024046
  3. I'm a big fan of Josh too, but his OBP is extremely low. Would like to see him show more patience, but seems the raw power is there
  4. I may be way over simplifying this, but Bullpen better be on #1 on KWs offseason list
  5. Quick reminder for everyone that UFC 75 is on Spike TV Saturday night on a tape delay from England. It is a really solid card headlined by Rampage vs. Henderson (UFC 205 champ vs. Pride 205 champ), big comeback match for Cro Cop vs. Kongo. It's "free" (it's on basic cable, so past the normal subscription rate it's free).
  6. not a ton of experience with pool tables, but I would add that if you take good care of them they are something that can last a LONG time. My grandparents have had one for years and years and just the routine looking after it has kept it in great shape

    The Office

When does the 4th season start?
  8. rumors are seriously swirling on the net that Fedor has signed with UFC. I'll post anything if I see something new
  9. i thought they learned from the Erstad move, KW seemed to fall out of love with him, with the rumors of trying to move him. This would be a bad move, not an upgrade at all
  10. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Aug 31, 2007 -> 08:00 AM) That list would equate to about 1/3 of the baseball all-star team being suspended. And back to the botched moves, does anyone remember when they tried to bring back Vader and Goldust? Vader was leaving the ring and he fell flat on his face. On top of that, he was enormous (even moreso than he was in his prime). I felt terrible for him. along the same lines, when Austin came back after the neck surgery lay-off he did a run in and had an enormous beer gut and had trouble rolling in the ring. (I know, it was a serious surgery and not easy to bounce back from, but visual was still funny) Also, the debut of "The Shockmaster" which was, I believe, Tugboat Thomas in a spraypainted Stormtrooper helmet. WCW set up a big dramatic thing to introduce him, he bursts through the gimmicked wall, trips and falls and his helmet falls off. I think Ventura was doing commentary and was laughing his ass off
  11. that Foley bump off the top of the Cell was sick. I remember watching that live and actually having the feeling that something went wrong
  12. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Aug 23, 2007 -> 01:04 PM) Saw this on BTF and FJM. I'm still having trouble understanding why this was even written. What purpose does this piece serve? I flipping love that site
  13. http://www.mmaweekly.com/absolutenm/templa...2&zoneid=13 Randy broke his arm at some point during the match
  14. awesome news, I love South Park. It's been even better the last few years with the technology that lets them write shows and get them on the air days before the air date. Has kept it topical and great
  15. no, with the no-hitter and bobby's streak there has been some positives
  16. Randy is awesome. Not a whole lot more to say about him at this point. I wonder who'll they'll have him face next. I wouldn't be upset if Cro Cop beats Kongo, you give him the shot. The GG upset was stunning, but I think Cro Cops record should allow for that to be slightly overlooked. Maybe they'll give Nogueira a fight soon then have him fight Randy. I saw that Dana White is talking with Fedor's people on Thursday. I would, Dana would and the whole MMA world would LOVE a Fedor/Randy fight. I guess the main sticking issues are Fedor wanting to fight in Sambo competitions and bring some of his teammates to the UFC with him. Supposedly money is not the issue and UFC has made the biggest $$ offer (that is gathered from different reports from Meltzer, who's usually on with his stuff).

  18. QUOTE(Texsox @ Aug 22, 2007 -> 03:42 PM) There is no reason for the bank to remove her name. They lose one potential, albeit, poor chance at payment. I doubt the state would alter the title without a court order or bill of sale. Unless she is cooperating, that probably isn't going to happen. This is a classic case of why you should think twice before co-signing for anyone. If this is going across state lines he should be extremely careful with what he does. That adds a whole new aspect to it.
  19. QUOTE(StrangeSox @ Aug 21, 2007 -> 05:48 PM) +1 add me to this. It's kind of sad how some media members, particularly Michael Smith who's filling in for mike and mike this week, are starting the "overreaction" bandwagon moving. It makes me sick.
  20. CNN.com has a story that the feds offer is 18-36 months, he's trying to get it to less than a year http://www.cnn.com/2007/US/law/08/20/vick/index.html edit is the link
  21. QUOTE(shoota @ Aug 17, 2007 -> 11:44 AM) With the evidence and informants accumulated, I don't see how Vick wouldn't accept the plea bargain. The plea bargain is for 1 year jail time vs. 5 years if it goes to trial, plus he'd lose out on playing time during the trial. If Vick doesn't take the plea bargain and loses his trial, his NFL career is basically over. If he takes the plea bargain, serves a year in jail and maybe another year on suspension from the NFL, he can salvage his career and cut his prison time by 80%. I don't see how Vick doesn't accept the plea deal. If I were him, I'd have accepted it days before the deadline. I think it would be possibly more since the Feds say if he doesn't accept a plea they're going to file a superceding indictment with more charges
  22. QUOTE(shoota @ Aug 16, 2007 -> 10:27 AM) Nice subtitle. I'll second that, had me snickering at my desk
  23. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2972161 looks like they're talking to the Feds now
  24. QUOTE(daa84 @ Aug 14, 2007 -> 12:55 PM) i agree on the madden games...i just dont find them that fun...im a huge sports fan but i honestly find sports games to be rather lame and boring in general....MVP 05 being the exception I love the NCAA football games, over the last few years I have dedicated alot of time playing those.
  25. If someone with talent in this field can help me with a Josh Fields Sig. Something simple like "Fields of Dreams" with a shot or 2 of Josh and a cornfield theme... thanks!!
