Buehrle's game isn't based on the speed of his fastball. I think it's quite stupid to trade a pitcher signed to a fair contract for four years for a first base prospect when we already have a solid first baseman signed to yet another reasonable deal for the next three years. Hamilton is still a question mark in my eyes as we would be buying high on him (no pun intended) and he's only had one year of MLB experience despite being 26 years old.

Too broad of a stat to use. Doesn't account for WHIP, and a guy can actually lose a quality start if he continues to pitch deep in a game. A guy could give up his 4 total ER in the 8th, and even though he would have a 4.50 ERA (0.00 coming into the inning) it wouldn't be a quality start.

Now if he had no info and just assumed it was somewhere near the bridge, why would he be looking up? I think Brolin's character gave him a lampost count, or fence ring count which helped him find the money.

I don't get this thread. To me Frank never had any links to steroids, and the Mi$tchell Report isn't the end-all of the steroids in the history of baseball. My level of respect for Frank, Thome or Konerko hasn't changed today, but I say that not as an insult.

Sure. give him two years, shouldn't cost that much. Regains some of his form we could turn him over to someone else, if he sucks, I'm sure he'll fit right in.
