  2. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jun 19, 2005 -> 07:22 AM) Nice meeting you too, come on back anytime And quit being nice to Jason, you don't have to feel sorry for him, we all know he throws worse than a girl I may throw worse than a girl, but I still throw better than you

No, now Vida, she's a dog. I need a women with a good face and hers is crap.
  5. I tried googling it but whatever it is it is some illegal device. The whole point of streaming is to prevent copyright infringement or at least thats what I read on one of the sites. Well that and it is much easier on the server load. (learned a lot more about streaming video than I ever thought I would, lol). I know there is a type of program that will grab the feed and copy it to the harddrive, but I've had no luck in the google search Kap. Edit: Found something for ya Kap. Just go here, it has info on it and how to rip it and such. Has a list of programs you can download. http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/
  6. I think there is a way to download it. Its just really complicated and it involves downloading the stream and I dont' think winows media player does it. It woudl have to be some media player specifically designed for downloading the stream. I remember my friend had one and he'd download the mlb.tv stuff into his computer but I don't remember how the hell he did it.
  7. QUOTE(Steff @ Jun 16, 2005 -> 08:02 PM) Lord help us... LOL. If you're taking the train it's simple. Just call me.. I'm leaving work at noon to run some errands then heading to Jimbo's.. Jimbo's would be the same exit as you would take if you were going to the cell right? And than its just basically accross from armour park or whatever its called?

QUOTE(Brian @ Jun 16, 2005 -> 05:39 PM) If I had to pick just one, I'd go with Scarlet Johansen. I think there are other women better, but she seems to have it all. Make sense? She's definately right up there on my list.

  10. QUOTE(aboz56 @ Jun 16, 2005 -> 05:08 PM) When you see Gage and I unleashing fireballs through Lot E, you'll know the festivities have begun. Ya, look out...you may think its slow pitch softball, but its really coming in at 90 plus.

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jun 16, 2005 -> 04:23 PM) Actually, I'd say instead that everyehwere you go you can find old faults. Even in the middle of plain states where all of the hills have eroded away. They're just buried under significant amounts of sediments, and many are inactive, but there are still cracks in the ground basically everywhere you go. The most common example given is the New Madrid fault zone - area in the Ohio River valley, southern indiana, basically flat for millions of years, only topography is due to erosion, and it experienced the 3 largest earthquakes in recorded Us History in the early 1800's. Is the New Madrid one that one that was in Missouri where they had like two magnitude 10 quakes in like a 2 year period? That was back in the 1800's if I recall or early 1900's.
  12. QUOTE(Jabroni @ Jun 16, 2005 -> 02:59 PM) Ughhh. Why does he keep saying this s***? If I were playing on some other team, I know for a fact that I'd still be a diehard Sox fan and at one point or another I'd love to get a shot to play with my childhood team. I'm guessing Buehrle is the type of Card fan that we are Sox fans..ie Diehard. Buehrle is awesome though.

QUOTE(Steff @ Jun 16, 2005 -> 01:28 PM) Apparently you guys are being told not to use your phones...??? What's up with that? Well I'm not listening. I don't think any major damage would of been done with the 5.3 but I'm not watching the news or anything. Just stuck at work.

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jun 16, 2005 -> 01:25 PM) There are dormant faults all over the LA Basin. That's the biggest thing we learned from Northridge; they're just all over the place. Downtown, just about every suburb, hell there's one a few miles south of me now. This place is cracked up to hell and back. The reason you don't know it is that most of them have recurrence intervals on the order of 10,000 years or more. In general, anywhere there are hills there are or at one point were faults. Thats at least my rule of thumb. I still say rather live in earthquake country than deal with blizzards, hail storms, and tornado's.
  15. QUOTE(knightni @ Jun 16, 2005 -> 03:29 PM) Youze guys! :finger Join the club Jason. I see if they win or don't win, I don't care who does it. Good I was starting to think I was all alone on that, seeing all these 100%
  16. Sweet, your all set big hurt.
  17. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jun 16, 2005 -> 01:57 PM) Haha, Willie Harris in right field now that would be something to see. Anyways while good on paper that offense would have done the same crap our offense in years past did imo. Well frankly I'd take last years offense over this years offense. The reason the team is winning this year is pitching. Put this years pitching staff (and the way they are throwing the ball) with last years offense and I think you'd have similar results. Of course this club is arguably a little better defensively (mainly AJ in CF and the fact that Jose has been replaced by Juan). However Maggs was a good RF and Lee is just as good as Pods defensively (I don't care what anyone else tells me either).
  18. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Jun 16, 2005 -> 01:52 PM) Wow, that's really, just different. So if I have all this right, assuming the Sox would've opened up their pocketbooks enough this could've been our team at some point last year?: C-Ivan Rodriguez 1B-Paul Konerko 2B-Juan Uribe 3B-Joe Crede SS-Nomar Garciaparra RF-Willie Harris?? CF-Aaron Rowand LF-Carlos Lee DH-Frank Thomas That's better than St. Louis lineup from last year IMO. 5-man rotation: Buehrle Garcia Loaiza(I don't know of we still would've traded for Contreras) Garland 5th starter That would be an interesting team. Anyway, before I forget. I always seem to ask, but nobody answers so I'll ask again. I hear that Willie isn't liked in the clubhouse very much for something he did last year. Anyone know what he did?? IIRC they were also quite interested in Juan Gonzalez.

  20. 60%. I watch almost every game too, but I dont' pay attention to the details and stuff. I watch the game and just see who does good and whose struggling. I still swear Frank had a hit in his debut. I remember him ripping one to center but I must be wrong. I missed 2,3,8,9
  21. QUOTE(Steff @ Jun 16, 2005 -> 01:14 PM) Ummm.. you heard it all at Soxfest from Jr, Mr Drink Spiller.. What are these accusations... Now that you mention it, I do remember Jr. mentioning that. I missed the 1st half of that convo though so didn't know all the details.

QUOTE(Steff @ Jun 16, 2005 -> 01:10 PM) IIRC that was down near southern Illinois and that the wave wasn't able to be felt my people. I remember my cats went nuts though. The cool thing (or not so cool thing) is how a high rise building can feel the earthquakes from so much farther. I know LA high rises could feel the quake down in San Francisco (the one during the world series) and I guess high rise buildings have felt quakes a few states away even.

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jun 16, 2005 -> 01:08 PM) I bet you it was the Yuccaipa one. I felt it too...and that's by far the closest one to me. Ya, I figure the Newport one would of been too small. Of course for my sake the Newport one is the one that would do the most damage to the area I live in. Its been a dormant fault for a long time, but its ripped off some of the larger earthquakes in the state and goes down all the way to ingelwood (which is where the Lakers used to play before Staples Center).
  24. QUOTE(Mickster @ Jun 16, 2005 -> 11:41 AM) Ozzie and KW and others on the team simply discuss where they can improve the team. KW makes virtually all of the personnel decisions. Case in point: Pudge was in Ozzie's office prior to signing with the Tigers - just sitting there BS'ing. KW walkes in and Pudge basically says "Let's make a deal, right here - right now" No Boras, no nothing..... From my understanding, the numbers that Pudge was throwing at KW were FAR LESS than what he ultimately signed with Detroit. Similarly, in ST '04, before Urbina signed with the Tigers, Uggie basically begged Ozzie to sign him to a contract - even a 1 year deal for $1M. It obviously didn't happen. Urbina was actually in Tucson living in Ozzie's condo during ST when he wasn't even under a contract with any MLB team. Fact is, Ozzie has little to do with the players that are actually signed by the Sox. He may have some input...some influence, but all decisions fall on KW's shoulders. Good stuff mickster...thanks for sharing that with us
  25. QUOTE(Hideaway Lights @ Jun 16, 2005 -> 10:16 AM) What defensive measuring stick do you use, then? I'm not wedded to fielding percentage. Crede is certainly above average defensively, as you reiterated. I just threw in the F% as an afterthought. 2 errors in his last 50 someodd games is really impressive. Crede isn't as bad as many of us say. I think the big reason I get frustrated with him is because he has the potential to do great things.
