Which do you watch for political coverage? Personally I watch Fox News. I really like it. I think my favorite shows are Hannidy and Combs and Gretta. I also like O'Reilly, but he can be a bit more out there at times.

Rain is definately nice. Usually I even open up my window when it rains, makes it really nice and relaxing. I sleep with my radio on though. Usually have sports talk on, that or Art Bell.

Well two nights ago I was having some kind of odd nightmare (I very very rarely ever have anything like this). I can't really remember the details of the nightmare, but I remember waking up and right in front of me my chair and a shirt and pants on top of it created a shadow that looked exactly like a clown. Scared the piss out of me for a second or two. Then I calmed back down. I hate weird looking shadows. Only really scary thing Ive ever had happen when I was sleeping was back when I was 12, I was sleeping. My room was downstairs and right next to the door. It was more like a den. Anyway, I'm fast asleep when I hear a thud on my window. IT wakes me up and I'm like what the hell. Then I'm closing my eyes again and another thud, this one louder. So I quickly turn on the light and look outside...then another thud. At this point I turn on the light and finally get the guts to open the front door. Little did I know the paper boy had horrible f***ing aim and kept hitting my window with the paper.

Ya, more reasons for you to dump him from your fan club Its obvious that he's growing more and more mad as the days go on. However, it seems like your in one of your Ivan and Heads moods or whatever that awesome thread was called. So Alex, get to work on some new Ivan and Heads stories

You guys shouldn't try to get pumped up for the stretch. I haven't been as relaxed as this in the past few years...I think it has everythign to do with the fact I've watched like 6 innings of Sox baseball in the past week. However, I did catch a few innings of this game to see Grilli pitch. I think I'll start watching once the callups happen. Either way, I don't get excited or pissed anymore when I watch the game, unless of course a young player does something really impressive.

I like Gloadie, been a fan of his since I saw him last year in Charlotte.

Sounds cool to me I also agree with waiting till the offseason. I like others really enjoy the offseason cause it leads to lots and lots of speculation and team building, hehe.

Prosecution, Alleged Victim Agree to Drop Charge

Kobe was innocent all along. This was a BS case and Kobe definately f***ed up in this whole thing. He obviously wasn't the character individual everyone made him out to be, but this girl was a freaking whore who was trying to get fame. -
That actually sounds pretty cool.

Hamilton is the least hailed politician I've ever seen, yet he deserves so much stinking credti towards the whole capitalism system that the US uses. If he didn't have his rash temper, he probably would of ran, cause he would of been eligible, considering he was a U.S. citizen at the time the constitution was written. Remember, way back then, everyone was essentially an immigrant and if I recall Hamilton tried on more then one ocassion and I think he was VP a few times. However, numerous politicans hated him and I mean hated him. I know Hamilton was very involved when Washington was in office, I Thought he was the V.P. but someone else could check me on that.

*Official* Madden Thread (New One)
Chisoxfn replied to CWSGuy406's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
Ok, its on..finally played it, two days after buying it. The game definately rocks. I missed Madden's gameplay when playing ESPN, so I'm glad I traded it in for this..even if it did cost my cheapass some cash. Biggest think I noticed is that running in this game is a lot harder and stopping the run is also harder. Its probably about time, cause i could own anyone with my running game in years past. Then again, I'm gonna have to adjust the way I play, lol. -
Catcher in the Rye Rocks. Holden is great and the book was just a good read.
-
Isn't that the whole damn book. That book sucked some serious ass.

Damn Gash...thats list is pretty much identical to mine. However, I like Rescue Me and have yet to see Dead Like Me. I may have to check it out though, cause a lot of people have been mentioning it. In no particular order: OC 24 The Shield Nip/Tuck Rescue Me Sopranos (even if I have to wait another 2 years or some crap)

Thats a badass idea. Of course I'm sure the internet providers will be b****ing up a storm. If one city does that, just wait till more and more cities do it. However, the wireless component companies should be doing all they can to get this through. It will definately keep them busy for a while. Wireless internet is way badass. Oh ya, Laptop sales would probably skyrocket as well. I bet a few speculators could make some good money on stocks if they predicted it right and Philly was just the first in a long list of cities to do something like this. However, they better do it right, cause its not too hard to set up this type of network, imo, as long as the proper equipment is used. Just get great equipment and spend money to have good security people in charge of it.

Hey Jim, happy bday. Hope its a good one and hopefully the professors go easy on ya...U OLD MAN Have a good one

Ya, Cheney had a few good one liners. Everyday I seem to be looking forward to Newt being on Fox News. I hope he's on again sometime tonight. I don't know if anyone caught him last night, but I thought he was right on the money when it came to education. He mentioned all the money being poured into education, yet in a lot of areas it doesn't do much. He feels that it isn't just, this school sucks, here lets give them some more money. He says the poor schools are the ones getting all the money (by poor I mean the ones with poor test results) yet it does nothing. It has everything to do with setting up the policy and creating a more strict adminstrative body. By strict, just in terms of setting down the goals and guidlines for the students as well as the teachers. He did a lot better job saying it then I did, but it made a lot of sense to me. I kind of agree with it. I think teachers could get paid more, but what matters is getting quality people to teach, and pouring money into new facilities may help recroute better teachers, but bottomline, it doesn't make teachers smarter. All schools should have good facilities, but schools need to set standards, and not bs standards, high standards and they need to set out steps to ensure students, teachers, and the school meet those standards. Its a hard thing to do, but if each district just pounded and hammered on making not only the students, but the teachers, school and the school administration more accountable then things would improve, imo.

sox got swindled by new york in loaiza deal
Chisoxfn replied to Obstacle 1's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Saw him pitch this weekend in Anahiem, holy crap he shows you why he's so good. His fastball just jumps out of his hands and no one can touch his offspeed stuff. He's still got to work on his command, and if he does that, he'll win multiple cy young awards. He now joins Mulder, Unit and Buehrle as some of my favorite pitchers to watch (notice how I really like watching the lefties, lol). -
sox got swindled by new york in loaiza deal
Chisoxfn replied to Obstacle 1's topic in Pale Hose Talk
The Sox still have Contreras for another two years, I want to see him keep getting better and live up to his potential before I call the Sox a winner. Unlike the Yanks, the Sox will be on the tab for Conteras the next two years (Ya, the Yanks may owe a little of his contract, but the Sox pay the bulk of it) so It will be very important for him to pitch well these next two years for this deal to truly be called a winner. Its a winning move for the Yanks regardless caus they freed up payroll next year and the following year, because Conteras wasn't gonna suceed in New York.
