QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Sep 14, 2008 -> 04:33 PM) Ed Hoculi. Normally good, that time awful. Wasn't Hoculi's fault. He said it was a fumble after he reviewed it. Problem is you can't challenge that play because the whistle stopped it. NFL will have to make an adjustment in the future to enable the review of this.

QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Sep 14, 2008 -> 01:09 PM) I had McFadden on my bench for Larry Johnson. Ugh. Last week I had Forte on my bench with Lynch/Julius Jones starting. This week I had Jones/Lynch again with McFadden and FOrte sitting. Next week I'm finally going to make an adjustment and one of Forte/McFadden will start. Probably McFadden cause i don't like Forte matching up with the Bucs. Of course Julius Jones at least has been solid today. The bigger mistake is me picking Manning and Harrison.

QUOTE (Brian @ Sep 14, 2008 -> 11:56 AM) This. It's like Turner is afraid to use Forte. Now you have them stacking the line probably on 4th and 1 and it will be a very tough yard to get. Orton checked away from a running play to the passing play.

QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 14, 2008 -> 11:38 AM) If Carolina defenders could catch the ball, he would have had 2 picks in this half. I just cringe every time he throws the ball deep. He wasn't bad in the first half, but he was horrible in the 2nd half. Carolina adjusted to Orton's weakness and forced him to have to throw the deep ball and he missed at least 5 wide open guys on 15+ passes. Plus the other downfield passes he made were just poor decisions.

QUOTE (Shadows @ Sep 14, 2008 -> 08:36 AM) The Chiefs suck, and a complete overhaul is what they had intended to do when they started getting the wheels turning last season.. I would be shocked if they aren't the worst team in the league, they got a lot of good young pieces but they need a QB which im sure will be next in line for them. There is no way St. Louis wins 9 games, they are garbage. Sorry knight. St. Louis might not win one game. Horrid offensive line and an even worse defense.

QUOTE (knightni @ Sep 14, 2008 -> 07:22 AM) San Fran and Oakland may be worse. But, Atlanta is a lot better, Miami is improved, and St Louis will compete for a playoff spot when they get their stuff together. Oakland will win 7 or more games. The offense will improve all season and there defense IS very good (despite Denver b**** slapping them).

DJ....He Gone
QUOTE (Brian @ Sep 13, 2008 -> 02:20 PM) If it turns out that Hawk ran DJ out after running Wimpy out, I'll be pissed. The guy is a hack announcer. He must have pictures of Reinsdorf of Boyer or who ever makes the decision. Hawk and DJ didn't always get along but they've become pretty good friends and I think Hawk repsects Darrin. DJ in the right booth can be above average but with Hawk its tough. I would prefer Stone and DJ than Stone and Hawk but both are upgrades over DJ and Hawk.

DJ....He Gone
Is DJ going to do radio? Or is DJ gone? I like Jackson but there is no denying how good Stone is and what an upgrade he will be on tv.

QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Sep 12, 2008 -> 12:56 PM) If the Bears have a top 7 pick, I'd love to see George Selvie (USF DE) playing for us next year as Ogunleye is aging. Oline and WR have to be the areas the Bears address before they touch any other position. QB would be an option if a QB was worthy of going at the Bears particular selection (but I don't think one will be). Plus dare I say it, Orton is going to turn me into a believer.

Who do you know, that's famous?
Umm, you all know "me". Shouldn't that count, LOL.

Chris Getz Out For Season
Getz injury is why the Sox ultimately removed Haeger from the 40 and added Bourgois. Tough loss but Getz is at least saying all of the right things. Also, I apologize if this was posted somewhere else, but I thought this was big news, especially considering Getz is the teams best pinch runner (yes, better than Owens).

The Dark Knight
Why would Depp ever take that role? Honestly, would you want to come in and take a role where no matter what you did you'd never be able to be as good as Ledger? Heck, even if he did have as good of a performance as Ledger (and Depp is an amazing actor so he possibly could) no one would really recognize it as such. That would be a terrible role to accept, imo.

Paulie's Down
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 9, 2008 -> 07:31 PM) Here's the problem. A mild sprain could easily take 3 weeks to heal, especially on a body that's 30+ years old and has a decent amount of mass on it. Even a mild sprain and that's probably the season for him. I would actually think he'd have a shot at being back within a week's time given that it is a mild sprain. If it was a larger sprain than you would be talking about more of a 2-4 weeks recovery time, imo.

Whats the situation?

Guillen not planning w/ a CQ return in mind
I don't think the Sox will rush him but Ozzie has the right mentality. At this point you have to move on and play with what you have. If you end up getting someone else back, fantastic, but if you don't, you got to deal with it so the sooner you plan on the future without having "X" guy for the season the better.

QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Sep 9, 2008 -> 08:31 AM) I couldnt disagree more. The penalties made in that game by the Packers were absolutely atrocious Its the opening week though, so you expect there to be a few more penalties than usual and the Packers have a solid coaching staff that will get that cleaned up.

QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ Sep 8, 2008 -> 07:48 PM) GB looked solid but Jackson gift wrapped that game. He would be third string on the Bears, and thats saying something. Jackson has a lot of raw ability. He had to pass way too much in the game and as a result he really struggled. However, he played much better in the 2nd half when he decided to utilize his feet a bit more often. Green Bay looked pretty good. Only real mistakes they made were related to some dumb penalties (which should get cleaned up as the season goes on). The Packers appear to be the best team in the division, especially with Rodgers looking so efficient.
