Plenty of fans thought may of the moves (Kimbrel, e.g.) were bad at the time. Regardless, the FO should be accountable for actual results. Yes many well-intended and constructed moves don't work out. But in the aggregate, they should.

Oh there are some interesting players to watch - several per team. Fascinating to follow.

Don't cut him to send a message; cut him because he's a terrible pitcher right now. But they probably should keep him until they have a replacement. And that they don't, falls square on those who, by all rights, should be the first to be axed: the front office.

Thinking this was a predictions thread with strange Caulfield numerology: 11. The Sox will stabilize in May with a 16-12 record against a tricky schedule. But they will fall to 5.5 back of the Twins, who will go 19-11 against a modest schedule.

If this team continues to rot, they really should get Giolito all primped up and move him in July. Now that's asking a lot of Hahn and Haber, but it should be done. Theoretically they should move relievers as well, but this FO has basically given them away in past Julys. A good GM could then get this team straight for next season.

We have utility infielders starting at 2B. That may not be the biggest problem, but it is a problem. They didn't need another utility infielder anyway.

I've watched entire season of baseball, and certainly teams turn around. But I've also watched c. 50 seasons of White Sox baseball and 10+ seasons of Hahnball..........

It's a thin team (esp in starting pitching) with injuries. Well-stocked with utility infielders, though. The last thing this team needs is for the FO to panic.

Hahn (and Haber) need to be dumped long before any star is traded off.

The Sox don't have near enough top prospects or top young players to trade one like Vaughn for a piece to plug a hole. That narrows the window and will cause far more harm than anything gained from plugging a hole. If traded, it should be for a similarly situated young player.

Well Montas and is scheduled to pitch tomorrow, so at least give it another game to see if he sucks this year.

That would be terrible too. Not Vaughn level terrible, but terrible. Find another pitcher. Why trade with the As? That's just lazy. The Sox willingly went into the season with the staff as is. They have a couple of injuries, which will keep 2 pitchers out for 1 month. Why make a desperation trade for 1 month?
