  1. Somehow, Heads is scaring the hell out of me when though were miles apart.
  2. QUOTE(max power @ Aug 29, 2007 -> 11:16 PM) Did he even throw the ball? It was a short pop fly, right? It was a line drive but I think he either slipped trying to make the catch or he misread the drive causing him to drop down and catch the ball. I wouldn't have either bother throwing the ball he knows he can barely reach 2nd base yet alone home plate.
  3. Owens noodle arm can't get it done.
  4. QUOTE(max power @ Aug 29, 2007 -> 11:12 PM) This game would be over if that were pods, and that one dude could go to sleep. ^^^^^^^^^ It's actually good to see a LF who has an arm out there. Luckally we will hardly see Pods out there (damn near saw him anyway) the rest of the season.
  5. Damn we were sooo close in losing.
  6. Uribe has seriously pissed me off this year.
  7. QUOTE(3E8 @ Aug 29, 2007 -> 10:53 PM) Did you really have that in mind when you said you didn't understand why people thought Anderson was crap and then a few posts later go on to say you don't like Richar even though he's putting up better (yet still bad) numbers through equal ABs? Guys who play at the collegiate level on average make it to the show with much fewer minor league ABs than guys who don't. Anderson/Richar were/are the same age as rookies. Not to mention Richar was what 16 when he started? It's not like he was in college. He actually had to learn to play the game year by year as a youngster.
  8. Anyone wanna bet which inning we lose this in?
  9. If Gavin pitches on the road (4.00 era), and pitches during the day (0.00 era 10 IP 1 R 0 Er 9 SO), He is unbeatable. (2-0) There, I solved the mystery.
  10. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Aug 29, 2007 -> 05:12 PM) Aren't you under arrest?
  11. QUOTE(Dogfood22 @ Aug 29, 2007 -> 05:06 PM) I'd tell the players that whoever hits the ball up the middle or to the opposite field the most gets to sleep with Scott Podsednik's wife. I'd rather nail Adam Archuleta's girlfriend.
  12. my butt and your butt...

Seriously, geez could of been Combine/VT all over again. Glad to see everyone was okay. Much prayers going out to you Jake and everyone else involved. I'm sure it was a scary situation and I'm sure some people are alittle shaken up about it.
  14. QUOTE(Steff @ Aug 28, 2007 -> 04:12 PM) Unless a tox report confirms anything - which obviously it wont - you are posting libel comments. Try "I think he was drunk". Simple, yet effective. Even the Score and 1000 aren't stupid enough to say "He was definitley drunk". ^^^^^^^ From what I've heard from reports and from Lance himself, Briggs lost control of his car, obviously panicing call the toll truck, but didn't want it to be a big scene so he called the police (obviously stupid) and reported that his car was stolen. He's taking responsibility from it and he actually didn't have to come out to the media to talk either. Obviously we will hear about further information (intoxication/nightclub which is being repoted false/rumor at the moment) but from now it shouldn't be a dramatic story or blown out of porportion.
  15. It's hard to sink in were in the top 3 of worst teams in baseball.
  16. EDIT: B-Ham just lost in 11 I believe. The catcher blew the tag as Cook basically had him nailed. McCulloch was on the bump.

  18. QUOTE(Palehosefan @ Aug 28, 2007 -> 09:42 PM) Kinsler's homer was on a very good inside riding fastball, he was apparently sitting on the pitch somehow. Yea that's why I didnt even mention the solo shot. Kinsler is just a good hitter. He had a plan up there and it showed when he turned on that inside fastball. It was a good pitch, he just got beat on it.
  19. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Aug 28, 2007 -> 09:37 PM) Did anyone actually watch? How did he look? Besides the rolling curve he gave to Byrd for a two run shot and the error he made on a routine DP ball, he actually looked pretty good out there. Made good pitches used his secondary pitchers waaaaaay more than his last start and of course the results showed.
  20. Gavin with a quality start. 6 IP 6 H 3 R 3 ER 2 BB 4 SO Somewhere in Chicago, Greg is estatic.
  21. I'd feel better bringing in Vizquel if we actually had a SS prospect going into AAA next year basically warming up the spot for him in 2009 considering Omar still has talent left in him.
  22. "Beautiful night in Texas today. Seems pretty easy for me to say since I have a fan blowing on me but still nice nonetheless." - DJ

  24. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Aug 27, 2007 -> 11:13 PM) Greg must of missed when El Caballo moved to LF. Or Pods for the last 2+ years and I'm not counting Dunn or Manny and many others considering I saw him put "the league."
  25. Happy B-Day to a hellova poster and a hellova friend. Good luck with the ladies especially looking like a goose and being like 7'3. Happy B-Day bro.
