I wish we had kept Wells. I thought the whole Wells, Fogg, Lowe for Ritchie was garbage from the start. I mean what the hell had Ritchie ever done that would warrant those 3 pitchers being traded? Kenny Williams f***ed up. Atleast he came out and FINALLY admitted it a few months back.

LOL..I think it's funny how people act like they had all this faith in Koch. Koch strikes out 1 guy and they assume he would have gotten out of the inning. Yet these r the same guys, who last year would curse Manuel whenever he brought him in. Koch will get his chance this year. I think Ozzie wanted to win his first gm really bad and didn't wanna take any chances. Especially after how well we played the 1st 8 innings...Marte choked. Big deal..On to gm number 2..

Well will agree to disagree. Bottmline is though, no matter what u think about Ozzie's decision you have to realize this guy is a ROOKIE manager. He's gonna make some mistakes. If u guys r lookin for the perfect manager that never makes mistakes then keep looking. I don't wanna hear about how horrible a manager Ozzie is everytime he makes a mistake. Or in this case a move of his backfires...

You say that like Matt Stairs is a scrub or somethin. Stairs has averaged 24 hr's a year for the last 3 or 4 years. He's got good power...I don't think Ozzie panicked. Wouldn't he have got rid of Koch right after the double if that was the case? I think it was a simple case of a manager playing the lefty against lefty percentages. Nobody would've have predicted Marte to get lit up like he did. If Marte does what we all expect nobody questions Ozzie's decision. SO GET OFF HIS BACK!!!

I don't see the big deal about pitchin Politte more than 1 inning. He was really good his 1st inning and a 3rd and Ozzie went with him in the 9th with a 4 run lead. I don't see anything wrong with that.

I think the Royals have a good offense and a decent pen. But with their starting pitching there's no reason to be SCARED of them. We lost a game thqat we clearly shoud've have won. That's gonna happen a few times this year. Just happen to be opening day and everybody is goin crazy now..

Marte was a fluke? WHAT THE f***? Dude, he's been one of the top left handed relievers in the game the last 2 seasons. And now he's a FLUKE? Get a life buddy.

I agree 100%...I think there were a lot of positives today. The offense was great. Konerko looked like the same guy who murdered the ball the 1st half of 2002. And Ozzie is not playin around. He's gonna be agressive and really put the pressure on the other team this year. You know Ozzie is for real when Konerko steals a base...

I could care less about the Cubs right now. Let them print up all the word series tickets they want. Just worry about our club..

I'm not gonna blame Ozzie one bit. He didn't do anything to cost us this game. It was just a major choke job by the bullpen. I'm a lil dissapointed, but they're are some positives that I liked. For one i'm just happy baseball is back. Secondly they're 161 gms to go, so lets not get too crazy over this 1 game. Third, the offense looked great, and u can already see that with Ozzie we'e gonna be very agressive this year. Then of course Mark pitched a hell of a game. So why this loss sucks. I think there r more positives than negatives...

I feel confident that Joe will figure it out this year. Maybe it was a bad thing that he was so good so quick. He'll be alright though. I expect to see him with the big club this year...

He's won 12 the last 2 years. I wanna see Jon take a bigger leap than that. Everybody knows the type of talent this kid has. 15-18 would be taking a nice leap. 12-14 is bacially running around in circles...
