  1. QUOTE(ScottPodRulez22 @ Aug 2, 2005 -> 10:18 PM) IMO they already were I had the Pacers as my favorite to take the East. I'm going with the Heat now.
  2. QUOTE(qwerty @ Aug 2, 2005 -> 10:03 PM) Walker is the third option? Gonna be a cancer for sure. I don't think Riley makes the deal if he thought Walker would be a problem. And, I'm pretty sure Walker is not coming in thinkin he's gonna be "the man."
  3. The Heat have to be the favorites in the East next season. Three excellent additions to an already championship caliber team. Not to mention they somehow nabbed Andre Emmett, who I think will be a pretty good player. All they really need is a back-up pg. They can either resign Damon Jones or maybe pick up somebody like Tyrone Lue or Gary Payton for a cheap price.
  4. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Aug 2, 2005 -> 07:30 PM) Ok let's try to make sense of this; The Heat make out damn good in this mega deal.
  5. I'm a little worried with all the walks of late. But it's nice to see B-mac pitching well.
  6. I can't believe it's been 15 years. Frank has been a joy and a pleasure to watch over the Years. I really hope he's able to finish his career in Chicago.
  7. I wouldn't worry about them now. But the A's are on a serious run at the moment. I have to believe they'll cool off a little bit. The Sox just need to worry about themselves.
  8. He's been lights out.
  9. Jenks looked great. He looks like he's starting to settle in and get comfortable.
  10. Is it me, or has our offense been real shady at home of late?
  11. As of today, where would you rank the White Sox system as a whole? Coming into this year, BA had the Sox system ranked 12th. Do you think we've moved up since then?
  12. Thanks everybody. I really apperciate it. Now for my present, how about a White Sox World Series win?
  13. I think having homefield is huge. Especially for a team that's rather inexperienced in the post-season.
  14. He hasn't been the same under Ozzie. I really believe the extensive workload in 02/03 has caught up to him. We really need another arm in that pen.
  15. QUOTE(ScottPodRulez22 @ Aug 1, 2005 -> 02:47 PM) Not the A's. We can take em.
  16. I'd like to see the A's come back down to earth. But, at this point, I'm no longer afraid to play them in the first round. If this White Sox team is as good as we're all hoping, they'll be able to take on all challengers.
  17. QUOTE(Steff @ Aug 1, 2005 -> 02:39 PM) Not true. He would have to be voted a share and a ring by the players. Just like Nomar last year. My bad then. I guess I was thinking basketball.
  18. Well, we wondered how the team would respond after the two sloppy losses to the Royals. Lets say, we got an EMPHATIC response. Compele and total domination this series. 15 game lead
  19. QUOTE(S720 @ Aug 1, 2005 -> 01:54 PM) Should the Sox win the World Series, is Shingo entitled for a ring? I wish he could. If you played for the team at any point that season, yes, you get a ring.
  20. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Aug 1, 2005 -> 02:19 AM) Now all we need is for Ryan Wing to get back to form. Don't forget Corwin Malone.
  21. The offense has been fantastic. Can't remember the last time we had 3 games in a row with such efficient offensive output. I'm still kinda worried with all the hits Freddy has been giving up. But he got the job done for the most part. 14 1/2 games up. It's still hard to digest.
  22. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jul 31, 2005 -> 10:20 PM) It would have taken Gio + some to get Villone. You're probably right. Which is why i'm fine with not getting this guy. Kenny wasn't gonna give up any big time prospects unless it was for a guy that could get us to the Series. Villone was not that guy. Good move for the Marlins, though.
  23. Wite, didn't you learn your lesson last year? I admit, Lawton for Gerut is a nice move for the Flubs. But how bout that pen? Way too many inexperienced guys that simply aren't that good. Also, their offense is very inconsistent. If it's not Lee or Ramirez doing it for them, it's basically not gonna get done. As for their starters, they really only have 2 guys they can count out in Prior and Zambrano. And even then, Prior has yet to get back to his sick 2003 level, and Zambrano isn't pitching at the level he did last year. They won't overtake the Astros. They've got 3 dominating starters who are all in the top 10 in era. They've got a filthy closer. They take advantage of their homefield. And, they don't have a billy goat curse hanging over their heads.
  24. QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Jul 31, 2005 -> 02:22 PM) Chad Tracy was traded to the Sox i think? White or Red?
  25. I'm just worried about how were gonna be able to do without Frank. His bat will be sorely missed.
