  1. I'll always remember growing up and listening him on NBC sports doing the game of the week and postseason games.
  2. QUOTE (Swingandalongonetoleft @ Sep 26, 2016 -> 01:32 PM) I'm watching some, but still keeping them on the radio whenever I can. There are always a few cold and dark days scattered throughout the winter where I realize that I miss and would like nothing more than to watch an inning or two of KC or Cleveland shellacking Sox pitching, and that it will be months before I can. This is my reasons too. As much as it kills me to watch them play like they have been playing for 4+ years, i can't stay away.
  3. Please no Konerko. I don't want to end up hating him, like we all hate our current manager. Just be prepared to be disappointed, whoever it is. It's the White Sox way.
  4. Bruce Bochy and the Giants part ways after the struggle down the stretch and is hired by the White Sox In reality, it's gonna be the same crap all over again. Probably Aaron Rowand or Jim Thome.
  5. QUOTE (flavum @ Sep 14, 2016 -> 12:05 PM) After looking at this schedule, I'm even more for a rebuild. This will be a big test for new manager Aaron Rowand/AJ Pierzynski/Jim Thome
  6. QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Sep 14, 2016 -> 12:40 PM) If Tigers win the world series will opener be Sunday night or do the cubs already get that game v the cardinals? The Cubs do, since they've already won the world series.
  7. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Sep 13, 2016 -> 08:41 PM) 1122 dogs My basset hound was one of them. I think he is 4-1 at these games.

    Labor Day Weekend

wedding downtown on Sunday. Then leaving for vacation on Monday.
  9. what inning does the walk off loss come? I'm guessing bottom of the 9th.
  10. this should help with the massive Ryan Howard contract coming this offseason.
  11. QUOTE (Dunt @ Aug 9, 2016 -> 02:10 PM) Come on down.........................Adam Engel If Engel were to debut this year, he should play in bubble wrap.
  12. QUOTE (WhiteSoxfan1986 @ Aug 3, 2016 -> 04:47 PM) Will he be ready for spring training? I'm ready for spring training.
  13. you should try and get bleacher seats for tonight, since Turner is pitching.
  14. QUOTE (raBBit @ Jul 22, 2016 -> 10:13 AM) This is loose conjecture and my own analysis. Take it for what you want. I really can't elaborate on more than I am saying. I don't think the Sox will trade Sale. I am not ruling it out, but I'd be pretty much shocked. I don't seem them moving Frazier/Melky/Lawrie but that's more of a guess. The guys that I expect them to have deep conversations about are Quintana/Robertson/Duke. Dodgers, Rangers and Red Sox are the teams to watch. I think the Sox think if they can get a return from Quintana/Robertson that is largely comprised of close to MLB ready talent, then they will make the leap. Shields could be moved obviously but I don't have any reason to think anything specific. Essentially, if they move Q/Robertson/Duke they'll go into the offseason with holes at C/CF/DH and then they'll need a decent starter/reliever as well as some depth adds. They'll have the returns from those guys hopefully filling three of those holes and they'll have boatload of money off the books with LaRoche/Robertson/Q/Jackson/Latos/Rollins/Avila/Navarro leaving. Before arb raises, that's almost 50M off the books (rough mental math). This sounds like a good plan to start. My hope is that Q is the only one traded. I'd hate to see him go, like all of us would. Also, no guarantee that Shields is even around next year. He could opt out, especially with how bad the FA market is next year. Then they are creating even more holes in their team. If they keep Sale, then they would have a possible rotation of sale/Rodon/Fulmer/Gonzalez/?
  15. not sure if this has been posted yet. article Article in the link states that the Sox had a scout in attendance watching Texas.
  16. so who is the next man up from charlotte?
  17. I wish he was versatile enough to play the OF. Sox could use that.
  18. If there were a stat based on giving the lead back the next inning, White Sox would lead MLB.
  19. Matt Purke and Chris Beck should be well rested for today's game.
  20. Bob Nightengale ‏@BNightengale 22m22 minutes ago The #WhiteSox's best find of the winter was the hiring of @jasonbenetti, who will broadcast ESPN's national Wednesday Night Baseball Game.
