  1. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ May 4, 2009 -> 07:54 AM) They said the day a black man became President, pig's would fly. 100 days later, Swine Flu. I'll be here all week. That joke has been flying around for like a week now, ive heard it about a dozen times.
  2. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ May 4, 2009 -> 04:22 PM) I predict that if Poreda finishes this start in a solid fashion, things will get interesting very soon. I still think the Count has a couple more starts of suckage before it gets interesting.
  3. I don't mind the superbowl being in warm climate area's, I just don't like it in a dome, football was meant to be played outside.
  4. QUOTE (fathom @ May 2, 2009 -> 11:16 PM) Miles hit over .300 in a lot of at bats last season. To say he sucks would be false, in my opinion. His career OPS is a whopping .687, he might as well be an infielder form of Jerry Owens without the plus speed.
  5. QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ May 2, 2009 -> 11:01 AM) I've recommended dumping Deng in order to resign Gordon over dumping Hinrich and Salmons. And if you're asking, if I was only to keep only one of 27 year old(When Salmons is going to be a FA) Ben Gordon or 31 year old John Salmons, I'm going to go with Ben Gordon everytime. I would prefer to lose neither, but that's pretty unrealistic unless you are willing to not go after a big name FA or you dump Deng. And again, if Salmons keeps this good play up, he's going to want a big contract, which he should. With Deng and Hinrich around, that still cripples some of your ability to resign a big name FA as Rose would be approaching a new contract, Noah would be too and you have to decide what you want to do with the rest of your squad. All in all, the best thing for this team to do is get rid of Deng IMHO. Dumping Deng is easier said than done, nobody wants that contract. What should have been done was the Kirk Hinrich salary dump to the T-Wolves, but Paxson didnt get it done.
  6. QUOTE (fathom @ May 2, 2009 -> 10:33 PM) The Cubs bench is pretty damn good. Hoffpauir's a very good back-up 1B, and Miles is a good 2b/SS guy. Gathright gives them speed/defense in CF, and Hill seems like a suitable back-up catcher. Miles sucks and Gathright cant hit. But yeah Hoffpauir is pretty solid except his defense is brutal.
  7. Our defensive plan going into this game was beyond brutal, I really hope Vinny Del Negro is fired.... the guy isnt coach material.
  8. I think everything in that is greatly over-exagerated. I dont even know how some of that info would be available for someone to know.
  9. Kind of random, but anyone else think it would be nice to have Thabo Sefalosha right now to slow/shutdown Pierce/Allen. The guy is a pretty awesome defender
  10. Is it me or are we getting called on the most ticky tack fouls, I thought the Bulls were the home team?
  11. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Apr 30, 2009 -> 05:45 PM) Except for all the people that are moving. I dont get why people are taking pictures, people are stationary in them anyways
  12. If Pods can somehow resemble his 05 form, our lineup just got a helluva lot more dangerous... defense be damned.
  13. Nix is the obvious choice here, he would take 2B duties until Getz was ready and Betemit would prob DH.
  14. QUOTE (zenryan @ Apr 29, 2009 -> 02:42 AM) This match up isnt doing anything for me right now. Dana White believes Silva is the best P4P fighter then I think Silva needs a bigger matchup. If Silva isnt going to fight GSP then he needs to be fighting the top of the LHW division, ie an automatic title shot or Rampage. Forrest is nice and all but he couldnt even defend his title and is either 4th or 5th in that weight class rankings(Evans,Machida,Rampage,Forrest or Shogun). I'm thinking Dana White is making this fight so Silva can beat Forrest and Dana can start spewing the nonsense that Silva is the best P4P fighter because he beat a former LHW champ. Well for one I think Forest is better than Machida and Shogun and he beat Rampage, so that pretty much puts him in the top3. Im sure if Silva beats Forrest, his next match will either be st pierre or winner of Evans/Machida or Rampage.
  15. QUOTE (rangercal @ Apr 28, 2009 -> 01:23 PM) I guess there are updated quotes on the Curry story. lol http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/basketba...ver_claims.html Personally I wouldnt doubt Curry cheating on his wife, he is a multi-million dollar athlete, but I think the guy is full of s*** and just wants to make a quick buck.
  16. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 28, 2009 -> 09:03 AM) Are you really giving a guy whose native language is Spanish, a lesson in Spanish? Sounded like a lesson in English?
  17. The 3 shows I enjoyed that now are unwatchable in my opinion are Lost, Smallville, and Simpsons. Especially Smallville....
  18. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 27, 2009 -> 12:08 AM) And that says a lot as far am I'm concerned. Mel Kiper comes off as a dick at times. But this dude straight knows his football. Best football analyst out there, IMO. Really? I used to think he knew his stuff, but every time they put him on the air with, I think his name is Todd McShay, Mel Kiper comes off looking like an idiot imo. But in terms of football my favorite two guys are Jaws and cant remember the other guy, the one who along with jaws always is breaking down the film and showing how plays developed.
  19. I dont know, I was just hoping for like Duke Robinson and Javon Ringer in the 5th and woulda liked Brandon Tate or Michael Johnson with that first 3rd rounder.
  20. Not really a big fan of our draft, figured since we traded so far down would gamble and take best talent available and doesnt seem the Bears went that route.
  21. Our big guys are pretty damn pathetic on the boards, its stupid that Rondo is able to get so many rebounds....
  22. ugh, we are not a fun team to watch right now.... Alexi better make that mistake up with his bat tonight.
  23. QUOTE (LosMediasBlancas @ Apr 24, 2009 -> 12:57 AM) Results from a poll in a men's magazine reveal that 26% of women are thinking about this during sex. What is it? Take a guess. Im going to go with, thinking about being with another man.
  24. QUOTE (SleepyWhiteSox @ Apr 24, 2009 -> 01:05 AM) Letting game 2 slip away cost the series. To this day I do not understand the del negro signing... One just has to hope like any rookie, Vinny will improve next season. All in all, with no real coaching experiance couldnt have expected him to do that good of a job. If we are lucky, our assistant coaches and Pax will review him after the season and give him tips to improve and whatnot.
