  1. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 18, 2013 -> 06:43 AM) http://www.southsidesox.com/2013/4/18/4237...ng-stance-video Looks Riosish.
  2. Every time Dunn leads off an inning he should lay down a hard bunt toward third base. It doesn't even have to be along the line. Bunt it hard enough it's a double. I'd gladly take some singles and doubles from him.
  3. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 17, 2013 -> 11:40 PM) Exactly. If you want to say that Q is a better bet than Sale long-term because Sale's arm is more likely to fall off then, yeah, I guess. I could say Jimmy Butler is a better long-term bet over Rose due to the fact Rose no longer has a penis. Give me the risk of Sale/Rose pver Q/Butler anytime. Butler doesn't play point guard.
  4. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Apr 17, 2013 -> 11:20 PM) You are doing drugs Q has a less violent delivery and is probably a better bet long term to stay healthy, but Sale has the stuff to win a Cy Young. It is good to see that Q's late season fade last year has not manifested itself this year. In 2010 Q pitched approx 38 innings in low minors. 2011 102 ,2012 185. You can see the progression. When he isn't tired his control is damn good and with his stuff and location he can be very effective. I can see him having better years if Sales fastball doesn't stay consistent. So yea I said long term because of the difference in deliveries mostly but still think Q is capable of some very good years ahead. He's progressed very fast.
  5. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Apr 17, 2013 -> 09:06 PM) Santiago has really good stuff for a guy that nobody outside of White Sox fans ever heard of. Command can be iffy but he should have a long career in the majors as a back of the rotation guy or a reliever. I think his upside is higher than that but we shall see.
  6. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Apr 17, 2013 -> 09:08 PM) Q just flat out knows how to pitch. Changes speeds well...good 2 seamer. Changes planes. Really like Q. In today's game thread I said Q might be better than Sale long term . No one wanted to discuss it except to say I was doing drugs
  7. Against lefties he should be down in the order with Viciedo ahead of him. That's a no brainer and it should be to all running the Sox too. He also should be behind PK no matter who is pitching.
  8. Q is the quey to having a big 3 along with Sale and Peavy. Free free to rap that since it rhymes.
  9. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Apr 17, 2013 -> 05:37 PM) There is that 2nd base groundball from Dunn. Right field ground ball.
  10. Dunn will never hit above .205 until he learns to beat the shift which is nearly impossible.
  11. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 17, 2013 -> 05:31 PM) We're sure Baustista won't be back tomorrow? He's the one that really scares you in that line-up, although Encarnacion and Rasmus have dinged us up...heck, losing 19 of the last 22 games up there before last night...EVERYONE in their line-up was dangerous against the Sox. 4-2 in our last 6. His name is Rios and he dances on the sand !!!
  12. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Apr 17, 2013 -> 05:21 PM) Q last 12 innings 4 hits 0 runs. My bad 11 innings
  13. Continuing a little on Q. 2010 in Rookie and A ball he pitched 38.2 innings. 2011 in A+ 102 innings. 2012 in AA and with the Sox 185 innings .Huge jumps each year.
  14. QUOTE (flavum @ Apr 17, 2013 -> 05:17 PM) To be honest, if he doesn't put up 7-8 quality innings tomorrow, I'm going to be a little worried. He's got to stay away from the long ball. And have his good fastball.
  15. Hawk so used to Rasmus running them down , he figured he'd get that one too . Way to go Che !
  16. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 17, 2013 -> 04:52 PM) No. I can't. I'll just assume you got hold of some Salvia. It makes me delusional, too. Ha , he made a pretty big jump in a year from A+ ball to the majors. Pitched well till he ran out of gas. Has a very repeatable smooth delivery. Excellent control . More consistent in his starts with his fastball than Sale. He shows you a lot in his good starts like last week and some of the ones from last year. And I did say in the long run because everyone is so concerned about Sale's injury risk. It's easy to see what's right in front of your eyes but looking ahead is the difference.
  17. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 17, 2013 -> 04:49 PM) I will be nice and pretend I never saw this. Well be nice when discussing it .
  18. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 17, 2013 -> 04:49 PM) I will be nice and pretend I never saw this. Don't be nice . I'd discuss it.
  19. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 17, 2013 -> 04:48 PM) Nice play by Dayan to keep that to a single. Probably another thing that doesn't show up in WAR. Don't run on the gun.
  20. Quintana might end up better than Sale in the long run.
  21. Oh man turning loose 3-0 and MB at 93 pitches and the guy on deck 2 for 2 gahhhhh !
