  1. If he's back in camp I don't see why not. Get him used to live pitching again as fast as possible.
  2. I love it ! We're talkin' baseball again. I am so tempted to write some White Sox 2020 themed lyrics to this song. Might as well believe the hype while it all exists.
  3. We need a HR . Sox hit 10 before they started the broadcasted games and haven't hit one since.
  4. I can watch on youtube but it's listed on the whitesox page on Roku but all i'm getting is the Sox logo after the commercial ended so far.
  5. It's settled then .
  6. Does Yellow Cab have a team ?
  7. Commissioner Joe(Da Luis RoBearce) I like the team name Joe. I never played fantasy baseball before but a short season might be a good time to try if its free.
  8. I like yours with the red font . You don't say what the asterisks are for though. NRI guys ?
  9. Whoever knocks the crap out of Tigers and Royals best and manages over .500 against the other AL Central teams will win the division 35 wins will take the division , maybe 32/33 to make the playoffs.
  10. Sox Record 35-25. I guess we missed the BOLD Predictions portion of our off season. Robert and Dunning neck and neck for ROY. Dunning moves into a starting roll before game 25 replacing someone who was injured or not effective. Sox lead the AL in HR's. Sox win the World Series. Crochet gets a save in the clinching World Series game. World Series MVP Luis Robert RR signed to lifetime extension.
  11. SO no Crawford. Hawks play Edmonton and Edmonton is a host city . Does that mean every single game is in Emonton on their home ice or are the Hawks the "home" team in Toronto ?
  12. Ahh thought we all knew that . Covid 19 making a mess of everything, players and umps opting out, players testing positive, problems with testing and results, negotiations to get the season started going haywire, no fans ,. I'm sure i missed a lot of things. We're kind of lucky baseball isn't considered much of a contact sport like football, basketball and hockey. It's a lot harder to limit contact and practice social distancing in those sports.
  13. And the clusterfuck of a season continues to get "clusterier". My new made up word. I remember seeing a poster ask what a clusterfuck was. I thought everyone knew but basically it's a group of bad things that happen to fuck up a whole situation.
  14. He said after the game the plan was to work on the curve. It's very difficult for a pitcher to have all his pitches working in one game. He did just fine without it last year but if he can find more consistency with it to allow him to throw it more often it gives u a great fallback option should another pitch not be working that particular day.
  15. Lots of good arms. No idea how it'll play out in season but impressive in the little we have seen the last couple days. The Sox could have a very real chance of winning the division or more if guys like Heuer, Dunning ,Guerrero, Lambert etc step up while the starters keep us in the game for 5 innings.
  16. Easy rapport between Garfien and Jason. Obviously no MLB insight like from Stone but I still like them.
  17. From the game thread after the game we heard about Giolito say Madrigal and Vaughn were a pain in his ass. To expand on that here is the full quote from whitesox.com “Today, facing Nick Madrigal and Andrew Vaughn, they're a pain in my [butt],” Giolito said. “You've got Nick spitting on some fastballs just out of the zone, shooting one to right field. Andrew Vaughn, when I was throwing to him in quarantine -- back when we were in California, I was throwing live bullpens, and he faced me -- he's one of the few guys I've noticed that can really see my changeup well, and he'll spit on my changeup just out of the zone.
  18. I really love to watch them roll, No longer riding on the merry-go-round, I just had to let it go.
  19. People say I'm crazy doing what I'm doing, Well they give me all kinds of warnings to save me from ruin, When I say that I'm o.k. they look at me kind of strange, Surely your not happy now you no longer play the game,
  20. Once a guy does anything out of the ordinary he is branded as a flake because he doesnt follow the wolfpack, It's the most idiotic group mentality bullshit ever. And the fact that its applied to Kopech during this pandemic is truly asinine.
  21. And I don’t want the world to see me ‘Cause I don’t think that they’d understand When everything’s made to be broken I just want you to know who I am.
  22. To be fair. Can there be no such thing as a spontaneous answer anymore without people saying he said the wrong thing ? Must everything be some kind of prepared statement any time you talk to the media because too many people stick their noses into things that don't concern them ? Kopech could have 1 reason or 10 reasons why he opted out. What's he supposed to do give a damn dissertation on it so we can all get our voyeuristic rocks off on it ? Move along , nothing to see here. This season is a clusterfuck. Try to enjoy what little baseball we are going to get.
  23. I wouldn't care if it was you who helps someone get better, A player is essentially in charge of his own destination. Help can come from anyone if you choose to accept it. This tape will self destruct in 10 seconds.
  24. Tell me something I don't know. I know their age difference. I chose the wording toe to toe because that's a boxing term. Now if at the age of 22 you become a great fighter and the your biggest challenger happens to be 27 could they not go toe to toe in the same ring ? They are both rookies in MLB i see no difference .They are now in the same ring after hitting basically the same last year in another comparable ring. My opinion is Yermin could hit almost as well as Robert. He won't leg out any hits like Robert will and he won't get the same opportunities and his career won't be as long because he is not a complete baseball player and that has been the long route to the same ring where Robert now stands, Different paths same destination at the same time mainly because they had the same results in the same situation. My analogy make more sense because we are talking about a physical gift not a mental one and comparing 2 adults, not an adult to a child.Yermin has always been able to hit even if you think it's because he was always older than the competition. I have seen nothing to suggest from his time at AAA or his time in both parts of ST that his gift of hitting a baseball is some kind of fluke.
