  1. Well, its about 140 miles depending on where in Chicago you are going. IF you get 35 mpg, you are still looking at 4 gallons of gas at about $3.70 so it about would cost $15 in gas to drive. $20 doesn't seem too bad. even at $26, it's not that much more than driving
  2. $20 doesn't seem like that much
  3. Yankee announcer just said that Uribe is known more for his bat than his glove.
  4. If you ever repeat, you will see that you get more lather the second time. That's because you removed a lot of the grease from your hair. I never repeat and only actually wash my hair about twice a month.
  5. Mine is a little ditty I like to call, "Tone 1".
  6. QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Sep 15, 2008 -> 01:27 PM) The Hold Steady and Drive-By Truckers 10/30 in Louisville KY. That's a 3.5 hour roadtrip but man, I'm pumped. Duke, back in '99 or '00, the Truckers played at Boo Jr's. in Carbondale, if you can believe that. If you haven't been there yet, it is the diviest bar in town. It was awesome!
  7. There is a game starting in less than an hour isn't there?
  8. Man, I thought the game was in hand and switched to Sara Silverman. I turn back and it's 7-7. Crazy. Nice job by Danks, who's record should be much better than it is. And big hits by BA and Wise. Great day for the White Sox.
  9. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Sep 13, 2008 -> 04:01 PM) f*** this. Stone is great, but DJ deserves better. I agree, Stone is good, but I really like DJ, even if he goes to the radio, I can't get the games, so it doesn't matter to me. I hope he gets a job somewhere.
  10. Sorry to start a thread just for this, but there is no catch all anymore. A little while ago somebody posted a site that would give you text message updates after each inning. Does anybody know what that is, or remember which thread it was in?

    Sandwich

    QUOTE (RockRaines @ Sep 11, 2008 -> 03:15 PM) Also depends on where the ingredients are from. Italian subs-Oil, peppers, prov, seasoning Tuna salad-swiss cheese lettuce and tom Turkey-swiss, giardiera, spicy mustard, LTO-also depends where its all from, white hen, bari, vinnie's Manny's-just mustard and swiss Perry's-two kinds of mustard and swiss Potbelly's everything but oil theres so many options. Do you consider hamburgers sandwiches? Then I'd have to go mayo and LTO. Hows about a Rib sand-just pickes and onions Grilled cheese-2 slices american, butter on bread, and if i'd had pizza recently, a middle slice of thin crust. Are you saying a slice of pizza on your grilled cheese sammy? Never tried it, but I like the way you think!

  14. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 11, 2008 -> 02:19 AM) Amen. When he is bad like tonight ... he almost blew it for Mark who was OUTSTANDING. I think that was Jenks.
  15. Depends on what you mean by 'know' and "famous", but I have met and hung out with many musicians. Some crash at my place when they come through town.
  16. I can't remember what I chose, is there a way to see that?
  17. QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Sep 7, 2008 -> 11:15 AM) What movie would you like to see made; whether it be a book, comic, graphic novel, sequel to a movie, television show, or cartoon, and why would you like to see it made? Dont worry about time or money constraints in your response. I would like to see Stephen King's "The Dark Tower" series made into set of movies. Mind you, this would be a really hard set of movies to make given the material, but if made right it could be epic. The books were amazing, the time travel, conflict of different parallel universes, the tie-in to all of King's books and his life could really be a great set of movies I think the Talisman could be really cool if the right people got their hands on it.
  18. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 5, 2008 -> 06:26 PM) BTW, Crede is on the bench. I thought I saw that.
  19. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Sep 5, 2008 -> 02:29 PM) Should this poll be restarted after todays news??? You mean today's noose?
  20. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Sep 3, 2008 -> 04:24 PM) ^^ winner. He'll play Friday. :crying :crying :crying
  21. QUOTE (santo=dorf @ Sep 2, 2008 -> 07:29 PM) I don't care if it's career or seasonal, I don't see the point in discussing batting average for a player especially like Thomas. Who cares if it falls below .300? I'd rather see him round out those numbers in the other categories that were posted. Just for fun, in 1997 Shawon batted .300/.312/.451. Even more fun, in 1993, he hit .400. Oh boy!
