  1. 49ers have been on a tear. Definitely will need offense to beat any of the nfc west teams.
  2. Been following the twitter fights on whether to trade Robert. Hard lines drawn on something that nobody views that impactful. On one side, some fans would rather keep due to painfully thin OF and dreams of 70 wins. On other, some fans point out he’ll not be around for next contention window and may get hurt and should trade now. Both seem to admit he’s unlikely to get much either way. So…don’t really care. Trading people is fun when they get back good players. Trading this guy to uh save money and optimize control but also he sucks and will get back nothing - not that appealing to me so who cares.
  3. Marty Supreme was good. Pretty much par Safdie stuf
  4. I am happy to read this. Murakami will learn that Sox fans have a special place in their heart for players that choose them. I hope it works out for both of us, but if he struggles I’ll still have this dudes back. edit: d’oh “read this” meaning all of his comments and the responses.
  5. I actually agree with you here. It is Getz showing more savvy in dealing with JR than Hahn era had. Still just farce to read in modern mlb.
  6. that's a handsome fit. JR probably loved that, he may have even offered to sign a Cigar magazine for him.
  7. Man, this was great. It really did satisfy the itch I had for the Sox to just declare that they did still want to be a baseball team. Looking forward to my big boy swinging out of his shoes. What a wonderful change. Last year out 1b when you stared into his eyes was like looking into an abyss. And he sucked. But looking into murakamis eyes I see mountains. Our big boy is going to crush or die swinging. Down with the nerds. Zrate, vectors, dimensions. Big boy hit ball.
  8. He’s a big boy.
  9. This is such a weird year. After it looking like nfc was a gauntlet, now the afc looks as dominant record wise. Meanwhile the bottom is putrid. Which reminded me - there has been so few dumb nfl upsets. Panthers over rams is the biggest…and panthers are a playoff team.
  10. Zero clue why they’d act like he had a TD when he was ran back 5 yards but I’ll take the playoffs!!!!
  11. But the post you cited wasn’t concern about the price; it was about giving him a starting job.
  12. Eh I think it’s reasonable. There is a decent chance Murakami is unplayable, but you won’t sign a hedge and have him “compete”. For Sox it’s a no brainer, but Red Sox have to worry about losing April / May to bad production before they can find a replacement.
  13. We should call him El Caballo
  14. Just clarified
  15. Ugh he better not roid up and make us regret it
  16. Would be a hilarious roster.
  17. All credit to @Chicago White Sox who shitposted this into existence
  18. Getz doing short deals to Ishbia era!
  19. Wow let’s fuckin goooo uh…boy that’s cheap
  20. Yeah just heard it. Missing a triumphant Thayer scream too
  21. What made those “Caught!”s so great though was they were delivered just before it was confirmed by refs. Just unreal calls.
  22. Agree those were all time calls. That game was insane. Best night ever.
  23. I don’t know what to think here. Getting colder feet that he probably sucks, and then I’d feel bad I wanted someone who wasn’t good. But I’m also starving for something more interesting that trading for 40 man fodder from other teams. Tough call. I’d probably fail the Oreo test.
  24. Labor certainty?
