bmags

Sorry phone had so many errors I missed the one actually spelled correctly.

Oh I agree on the latter, I was always bummed that some of the only pitching targets for trades I felt were realistic were in our division. CLE isn’t giving us Kluber without a much better package

I’d have rather had Kluber once it was clear a deal is just price

Hulu + you have NBCS Chicago correct?

Why not Cameron Maybin?

This was about what I expected them to get given the concerns about klubers readiness.

Wish Indians weren’t in our division. Like this trade for Rangers.

Engel was quite good against LHP last year and is superior defensively. We have 26 spots this year so I think we are in a great spot. Id imagine they really do allow Leury to try to acclimate to being backup IF more this year.

I think the best thing we could hear is Mazara headed to AZ this winter to work with Menechino. Unlocking him really is just about approach and we had such great success with Moncada last year.

I think this makes a lot of sense but man it feels hard to pull trigger on. You should definitely call up Mets on him though.

Yeah I think this makes more sense.

Hmm...yeah I think you are cheating with McCanns numbers at DH

I forgot about McHugh. That would be nice for our transitions.

Sorry, availability meant health. I have zero doubt they are making 25-28 starts next year.

And Morton was 35

Can easily discard the contract

What does it matter honestly, it’s easy to discard.

The nice thing about Keuchel/Bum is I just have high confidence in availability. With Ryu I’d really want someone we know will be around. Nova becomes a real option then. Otherwise you can take those risks with Walker as 5th starter. Id like them to give the Ervin Santana deal to Salazar and see if they can get a team option with a guaranteed buyout in year 2.

Ha. Yeah what’s left is depressing. Assuming we give up in ryu/Keuchel/bum I’d still be fine with the Charlie Morton contract for Miley. After that...a lotta woof. I like the idea of getting old Alex wood back but am genuinely concerned that he’ll be injured all year. Backs aren’t fun.

Yes, kinda weird but they will have their nice prospects up so makes sense to provide some additional support

Miley? I kinda thought he would be 1/14

Maybe offensive, you couldn’t get the versatility on the left side.

I don’t care what people say, a VP like Hahn who oversees all of that is responsible for making his owner understand the value of that budget. It’s minuscule compared to payroll (which isn’t large)
