  1. Using Ventura logic, he has to stick with this order for at least 30 games.
  2. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Aug 3, 2013 -> 06:29 PM) He hasn't run the same batting lineup out all year. None of them have worked He's made small changes but nothing dramatic. Especially during this losing streak. Game after game it's DeAza, Alexi, Rios then Dunn and Konerko since he returned. It is the most anemic order in the league. Try something different, anything! The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results.
  3. For the life of me I can't understand how Ventura can keep running that same batting order out there game after game. We have one 300 hitter and he hits 8th, in front of a 206 hitter. Beckham gets no protection, and is not allowed to provide protection for anyone else. Unbelievable.
  4. I'm not sure he's a good enough offensive player to be a first baseman. I'm also not sure if he's a good enough offensive player to be a left fielder.
  5. If a Peavy trade happens I wonder if Rienzo stays in the rotation, or is this a one time start?
  6. Anybody who strikes out Nick Swisher is okay by me.
  7. Any manager that watches his team lose game after game after game and makes no adjustments to the batting order is not a very good manager.
  8. QUOTE (hi8is @ Jul 26, 2013 -> 07:20 PM) Is mlb.tv not working for anyone else? It's working fine on my Apple TV. I missed the start. Did we trade Steve Stone? Who's the replacement?
  9. It's foggy at Wrigley and they're playing. Is it really that much worse at The Cell?
  10. QUOTE (JoshPR @ Jun 6, 2013 -> 06:22 PM) Anybody else having trouble with MLB atbat? Yes can't get to load. No access to mlbtv either.
  11. 3rd place! Cue the Jefferson's theme... We're Movin' On Up!!!
  12. QUOTE (Thad Bosley @ May 20, 2013 -> 07:55 PM) Alexei has had quite a night for himself with the leather. Maybe someone told him Beckham is playing SS in Charlotte tonight.
  13. Does Rocky Wertz like baseball? I'd vote for him, if I had a vote
  14. Not only do I hate being in last place, I hate that they've gone back to wearing those ugly black jerseys every game.
  15. I wish Addison's TWTW would kick in a little sooner in the inning.
  16. If he retired and saved the Sox all the money he's owed it would be his biggest contribution to the team he could make.
  17. If Dunn had any sense of decency, he'd call a press conference, say "I'm sorry." And retire.
  18. Only one more year! http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/mlb/news/...p/?sct=uk_t2_a3
  19. I think if I was the White Sox brain trust, I would call Wilbur Wood. I'd say "Wilbur, we got this guy with a bad shoulder who throws a great change up named John Danks. Can you come down to Phoenix and teach him how to throw the knuckle ball? We'd greatly appreciate it.
  20. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/mlb/news/.../?sct=uk_t11_a0 A very good read. I'm interested to see what Sox Talkers think.
  21. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 2, 2013 -> 10:55 AM) Am I the only who hates the 83 unis? No.
  22. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jan 13, 2013 -> 06:39 PM) Shingo had lost the closer's position by May. Hermanson was the closer for the majority of the season, and he was incredible until his back went out. I hate when facts get in the way of my argument.
  23. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jan 13, 2013 -> 05:58 PM) That 2005 rotation was incredible. There is just no way these guys are going to pull that off. Here's my hope: Sale=Buehrle Peavy=Contreras Danks=Garland Floyd=Garcia Quintana/Santiago=Hernandez/McCarthy Sale will be better then Mark was. Floyd equals Garcia is my one close your eyes and hope. I never liked Journey, but "Don't Stop Believing" Also people forget that for the first half of 05 Shingo was our closer.
