  1. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ May 11, 2011 -> 02:25 PM) You cant just assume the Bulls would have won the 2 years Jordan was gone. Im happy with what we got. With those teams you could have.
  2. Did we really compare this years Heat team to the 90's Bulls? We're doing this crap again?
  3. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 11, 2011 -> 09:36 AM) Which is good and bad. Taj is a much better defender than Boozer. But he's a much lesser threat to score the ball. This is what I mean by the matchup problems the Heat create. You have a similar problem at the 2-guard. You got one guy who's a great shooter and bad defender. Another guy who's a good defender and not much of a scorer. This obviously hasn't been an issue to this point. But it more than likely will be next series. Whatever other big man is on the court with Boozer is most likely going to take Bosh a majority of the time so as good of a player as he is, he's really not creating a matchup problem against anyone. And the Bulls have dealt with the 2 guard issues all season, it doesn't matter if we're facing the Heat or the Cavs, everyone knows the off guard is the weak link on the this team. That being said, to say the Bulls matchup better with the Heat compared to the Pacers or Hawks is obviously crazy talk. It'll be a fun series, one I fully expect to go 7 and for the winner to take home the NBA Championship as well.
  4. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ May 10, 2011 -> 11:34 PM) Yes to 1 and Bulls*** to 2. Well that's obviously an exaggeration but not a crazy one. Baseball is the one sport where my love for my favorite team far outweighs my love for the actual sport. I still would be a casual fan but my following of everyday games and transactions and whatnot would be gone for sure.
  5. I'd cry and probably never watch baseball again.
  6. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ May 10, 2011 -> 06:15 AM) Roy Halladay vs. Josh Johnson tonight I demand they change this matchup to a day when the Bulls aren't playing.
  7. Bud>Miller and 3 dollar beers at a sporting event is a crazy good deal.
  8. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 10, 2011 -> 12:27 PM) But only if Bin Laden turned it down. I think the Knicks actually want Bin Laden as their starting 2 guard. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ May 10, 2011 -> 12:33 PM) Carlisemo?? Is it odd that I had the same reaction when I first saw "PJ?"
  9. QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ May 9, 2011 -> 08:25 PM) They maybe the media faves but I think Dallas can beat them, the way the Mavs dismantled the Lakers is way more impressive than the way Miami beat a hobbled old team. No chance. The Bulls-Heat winner will be the NBA champions.

    Job Hunt Thread

QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ May 9, 2011 -> 10:59 AM) Just got a new job today. Beer at noon, here we go! Congrats bud!
  11. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ May 6, 2011 -> 02:07 PM) I lol at people who don't know how to refresh their pages. Pssh, technology is scurry.
  12. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ May 9, 2011 -> 12:39 PM) Milton Bradley DFA Woo, there's the answer to our offensive woes!
  13. 500 homeruns or not, has anyone ever ever ever thought of Pauly as an elite player in this league? The guy is a very good player who before last year pretty much put up just above average numbers for his position, nothing spectacular. Just because he's had a long career of being good doesn't make him a hall of famer.
  14. He belongs no where near the Hall.
  15. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ May 8, 2011 -> 11:49 PM) Steven Upchurch now has 24 K to 2 BB. That's a nice meatball. What the hell are we doing with Upchurch? Is there a reason we're like switching him off between a starter and reliever right now? Freakin odd. And sad to see what has happened to Mitchell. I was such a big f'n fan of his because of his plate discipline, athleticism combination but he's just dying out there right now.
  16. QUOTE (Heads22 @ May 8, 2011 -> 11:43 PM) Ok, guys. We've won two games in a row. If we win tonight, its called a winning streak. IT HAS HAPPENED BEFORE. Was waiting for this quote. Surprised it took someone so long.
  17. What the hell is this? 2 in a row? I'm lost.

    i am drunk

Oh last night was fun, fun fun fun fun
  19. QUOTE (knightni @ May 8, 2011 -> 10:23 AM) He is slumping because he's trying to get his swing back. They fiddled with his stance and messed him up. He's hit before, he'll hit again. It's been almost 2 years now since Flowers has hit. He's not good.
  20. QUOTE (Brian @ May 8, 2011 -> 08:20 AM) Heat never forced Rondo to go left when he had the ball. Shame on them. What Wade did may have been dirty but F Rondo. All he did was throw cheap shots at the Bulls in 09. Absolutely, it was literally pissing me off to see how f***in stupid Miami was being. And I'm not going to lie, I literally stood up and cheered when Rondo went down, I really couldn't care less if that makes me a bad person or a bad sports fan or whatever, f*** that asshole.
  21. QUOTE (greasywheels121 @ May 7, 2011 -> 03:43 PM) Became a multi-marathoner this AM, as I ran the Wisconsin Marathon in Kenosha in 4:10:23.
  22. QUOTE (Marty34 @ May 7, 2011 -> 01:34 PM) Much of Ramirez' value was the production he gave at the salary he was being paid. After the extension, a lot of the luster has gone off him. He was the best hitting and fielding ss in the AL last year. Now, the AL certainly isn't loaded at that position but Alexei is extremely value with just how little depth there is at the shortstop position in baseball.
  23. QUOTE (flavum @ May 7, 2011 -> 09:01 AM) If Sale is truly in the rotation plans for 2012, he should be in the minors now, you know, starting. Whenever we officially throw in the towel, Sale definitely needs to be sent down to get stretched out and Dayan needs to be playing every day in the majors. As for the thread title, no one is building a team around Phil Humber though he's definitely earned a shot to keep starting the rest of the season or until he proves he's not good at baseball again.
  24. QUOTE (flavum @ May 7, 2011 -> 09:46 AM) I'm not saying start the firesale now, but once it's apparent they won't be getting to .500 or within 6-7 games by the break, then they should make whatever moves they can. I don't even know who they can move. They probably are capable of moving Jackson, Danks, and Floyd. Maybe Buehrle---is that 15 mil thing for 2012 still in effect? Quentin is movable. But they still have these gems on the books after this year: Dunn- 3 yrs/44 mil (not saying it's a bust contract yet) Peavy- 1 yr/21 mil (including the 2013 buyout) Rios- 3 yrs/38 mil AJ making 6 mil in 2012 Gavin is probably one you hold onto unless you get blown away by an offer. Add Thornton to your list and as I said, you can get some nice pieces back if done right. And I'm talking about a firesale on May 7th, I officially hate myself.
