  1. This dude is 100% correct.
  2. Yasmani just got pounded with breaking ball. I wonder how he will adjust for tomorrow's game.
  3. Some positive after one loss. 1. Bullpen was really good. 2. Robert and Moncada played really well 3. White Sox got to have some really good looks at the back end of their bullpen I think we just got beat by a McCullers who was throwing strikes with his breaking ball. Most if not all teams will have trouble with McCullers when he is throwing his breaking ball for strikes. We need to go out and win tomorrow. Giolito is our best pitcher against a lefty. So lets do it and come back to Chicago tied.
  4. Just not our game. Ball was hammered just right at him.
  5. Jose Ruiz has been really good this season. I think every other team in the playoffs would take him as their 7th reliever coming out of the pen. K/9: 8.9 Whip: 1.16 ERA: 3.60
  6. I wonder if Goodwin traveled with the team in case Jose could not have made the series with his illness.
  7. What's crazy is when you think of headlining trades back to do this rebuild its the Sale, Quintana and Eaton trades. All of the headline players played apart in this team: Sale: Moncada, Kopech Quintana: Eloy and Cease Eaton: Giolito, Lopez with Dunning being traded for Lynn. Holy Shit did the White Sox do good on those trades.
  8. I would like him to pitch before the playoffs for sure but from my understanding, this is a finger laceration rather than an elbow. The cut just needs to heel a bit. I bet he throws before the playoffs start.
  9. I think the question is what the hell has gotten into his arm. I think it's obvious that he is throwing more strikes which is great. But, It's easy to throw your fastball in the zone when you are pumping 96,97,98. Last year his fastball was always 91-94. I think he could develop a changeup to go with his slider but if Rodon is not going. to pitch in the playoffs is there a better 4th starter than Reylo.
  10. I don't understand these threads where the only thing it was made for is to complain about the front office. Let's live in the moment and enjoy October. After that you can judge, criticize or who knows maybe even leave a few positive comments.
  11. I think Carlos gets like 4/100 Million dollar deal. The White Sox should just pay it. He's lefthanded going squarely through his prime. I understand the risk with the injury history but you have to pay for upside as well. He very well could be the best starting pitcher for the next four years their is a price to that. The White Sox should focus on keeping their lineup and starting pitching together minus Keuchel. If you are able to move Kimbrel and Keuchel in the offseason that should free up enough room for next year. You may need to eat a few million to move off of Keuchel but they should do it. If you could for the next two years roll with this starting lineup and starting pitching- they have a chance to win multiple World Series. Jerry should do everything in his power to make that happen for the long-term success and worth of the franchise.
  12. I think my fear is we are trading players at their lowest value? Kopech-Kimbrel-Hendricks is clearly the best 7-8-9 in the playoffs. I think the Sox saw Madrigal limitations as making him at best an above-average player but not elite. Above Average 2bs are easy to come by. I am actually more upset with Codi Heuer who will be a good reliever for years to come. I assume part of this thought process is the White Sox think Kimbrel will net them some prospects in the offseason.
  13. Just shows you what the White Sox thought of Madrigal. A singles hitter who has does not have speed, plays average defense, and has two major injuries in two years. He could very well be a good player for years to come but he never had an upside of an elite prospect.
  14. Ah, well there goes that theory even though I would love him as the first guy off the bench next year.
  15. I wonder how much the option of next year comes into play as well. If you consider Leury in his last arbitration year will probably fall between 4-4.5 million dollars. Hernandez's options seem like a no-brainer to pick up and let Garcia walk.
  16. Just curious do you believe the organization is looking to use Lambert as a trade chip? I know he has not been great this year when called upon but his stuff always looked good to me. I wonder if he turns into Chris Bassitt if we end up trading him.
  17. Is anybody else just good with adding Escobar and a middle reliever? To me give me that and Ill roll with this roster against anybody.
  18. I am 100% percent in the minority on this but Burger should stay down in AAA to get more ABS. For one thing, he just hasn't had much time at Pro-Ball. Pitchers need to adjust to him and get a scouting report. Then Burger will need to make adjustments back. The man only has 360 professional at-bats. Yermin himself had 220 last year and put up this slash line 310/386/647. Most people would like us to see send him down on this thread. I prefer to give Yermin a bit more of a leash allowing for Burger to season a bit more down in the minor leagues. See how he does at 2nd Base and allow to him develop a bit more. The Sox continually get criticized for pushing guys on this board- I'm surprised how much of a push Jake is getting. BTW, Don't get me wrong, I am rooting for the guy.
  19. I don't think this name has been thrown out there but David Peralta would be a good fit. I know the name doesn't really get fans excited but he is kind of the player they need. Somebody who can string together quality at-bats from the left side and is adequate playing in left field. He usually ends up between .340-.350 on base with a 290 average. He doesn't hit for much power. The cost would probably be a low-level minor leaguer and picking up his salary which is 7.5 this year and next year. Again, He is not like this incredible player but unless the White Sox want to give up somebody on the major league roster adding anybody of significance is going to be difficult. Jared Kelly probably our best prospect not on the roster is probably a top 125 prospect which is not that great. Also, I don't think it would hurt to see Gavin Sheets or Blake Rutherford regular at-bats for a cup of coffee.
  20. I think relievers are fickle creatures. I probably would have sent Jose Ruiz packing as he pissed me off through the years. But, He is looking pretty damn good right now. I would just switch Ruiz and Marshalls rolls as of now.
  21. Yoan Moncada will reach his full potential and take home the AL MVP Award hitting over .300 40 HRs and playing over 150 games.
  22. I thought this was pretty well put together and things can change during the season. Like Could I see Frazier struggling and Eloy becoming a MVP canidate- definitely. I think he has that kind of bat but in general only a slight difference in opinions. Honestly, I didn't think the Yankees were this good until I saw this breakdown. The Yankees are a hard team to judge because their star players seem to be constantly on the DL.
  23. Their has to concern that he short arms the ball and has control issues. Fulmer had the same issues. Now Burnes strikes everybody out which is great but the walks are an issue. I don't even know if they are fixable with that delivery.
  24. Fuck boys. My fault. I totally misread this and criticism is definitely warranted. Yeah, This deal is not so bad. I mean 13 million for a reliever is pricey but at least he is the best going now. I do still hold out hope we can get up to 150 payroll but whatever as long as we win.
  25. For a franchise that is very stingy with money to drop 18 million a year on a reliever for the next 3 years minimum is not the smartest move. If we had 180 million dollar payroll, cool. 130 Million dollar payroll not so much.
