  1. Ecstasy (not to be confused with Molly) is typically a combination of different drugs pressed into 1 pill. That might be the reason.
  2. Basically Hulk Hogan in Rocky III. It's a gloried sparring session.
  3. Even by Cauflield standards this is bad. I did make it through 3 posts though. Where's my reward?
  4. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Apr 17, 2017 -> 11:01 AM) I use a Garmin bike computer (Edge 520) and after my ride is complete, it syncs to Strava. No need to leverage my phone for the actual ride. BTW, impressive fitness regimen! I actually forgot you can sync them. I've still got some friends on Strava. Thanks for the reminder.
  5. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Apr 17, 2017 -> 10:18 AM) Anyone else on Strava? I used it for a long time to track cycling, but it eats a fair amount of battery and data. I switched to the Garmin Vivoactive to track and couldn't be happier. In other news, I'm down to 14% body fat eating at a 500kcal deficit. Started in late January at 23%. I'm shooting for 10%, then maintenance until the end of summer, then surplus for some "gainz." I quit drinking at the same time, which has made it surprisingly easy. It got that high from drinking, so it's fitting. I'm doing p90X 5 days a week, but only the chest and back/shoulders, biceps, triceps routine. I'm cycling roughly 250ish miles a week as well. I'm a courier, so that's all at work.
  6. Anderson is a terrible idea. I wouldn't mess with his approach until he's completely comfortable at this level. He's never going to be patient. It's not him.
  7. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 25, 2017 -> 10:12 AM) And this is the exact downside to "blow it up". If it fails, we are talking years more of problems. We're going to have "years of problems" regardless.
  8. Ghost Recon has peaked my interest. I was a huge fan of the GRAW multiplayer for years. It was a small community, everyone knew each other and it was super competitive. That was when modding xbox controllers was a thing. We'd rage if we caught somebody doing it.
  9. Literally had a "how the hell is John Hurt still alive" discussion at my office today. That's eerie.
  10. QUOTE (illinilaw08 @ Jan 26, 2017 -> 10:22 AM) To me, the fear is that, unless the Republicans in Congress stand up to this behavior early, there's a risk of normalizing Trump's behavior. If he's signing an Executive Order to publish all crimes committed by immigrants, or chasing voter fraud based on a second hand, racist, anecdote from a German friend of his, and that's the baseline of his behavior, anything that falls below that level of crazy seems reasonable by comparison. The Democrats can't do anything (other than use the filibuster) to stop Trump's agenda. Some Republicans in the Senate are going to have show the world that REAL Republicans still exist. FTFY
  11. I'd guess it's a reference to the endgame being that the Jedi are no longer necessary.
  12. Inarguably, the best starter of our lifetime (Pedro) and one of the hardest throwers (Wagner) were both tiny guys. I understand they're outliers, however, it just shows how unpredictable these things can be.
  13. Since pitching is such a unique/atypical action for the body, I really think pitcher health is mostly up to genetics and luck. Some people's body's are just more resilient than others to unnatural action. There are some obvious red flag mechanics that can be adapted, but at the end of the day, it really is a crapshoot.
  14. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Jan 15, 2017 -> 11:01 AM) Totally disagree with you on the technology. Everything I've read is that this is a pretty sophisticated piece of equipment. I'm actually super excited about the hardware itself based on the initial impressions this week. It's everything else that Nintendo typically does that could cause this system to flop. What about the hardware is exciting?
  15. The Switch looks like a complete joke. It's basically an Nvidia tablet for $100 more, with worse controllers and a non-replaceable battery. I have a feeling this might be the final nail in Nintendo's coffin.
  16. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jan 12, 2017 -> 03:34 PM) Is kickstarter basically a vaporware scheme? Has there even been a product on there that was released with a few months of the original ship date? I've only backed 3 or 4 things on there but it seemingly turns into a mutiny from the backers every time. The idea is that you go into it investing in an idea, not buying a product. Well, that's how they justify it anyway.
  17. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jan 4, 2017 -> 11:44 AM) He was advanced before anyone had ever heard of sabermetrics. He has been yapping about working a count since he began. No one else did.
  18. Threads thig bug should have a summary every 25 pages. I'm curious to see where talks are at, but I'm sure as hell not gonna read through that many pages.
  19. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Dec 27, 2016 -> 01:21 PM) Is it really that 2016 was such a bad year or is this gonna be the norm as there are more and more celebrities nowadays, and they are all getting older. Bigger population. More media. More celebrities, many of which absued cocaine and alcohol. It's the norm. Fisher, George Michael and Prince were all young and all had a history of hard partying. Not everyone is Ozzie or Keith Richards.
  20. We'll be seeing the excesses of the 70's and 80's catching up to people in the coming years. Cocaine.
  21. QUOTE (ChiliIrishHammock24 @ Dec 21, 2016 -> 03:04 PM) Saw a link to some plot holes in the new movie. Some of them are dumb and not really worth criticizing, but a couple were good.. "In the beginning of Episode 4, R2D2 just met C3PO. So why are they palling around on Yavin acting all buddy-buddy days before they officially meet. Sloppy screenwriting." And "Princess Leia makes a cameo at the end of Rogue One which makes absolutely NO sense and threw me in to a nerd rage so great I had to be escorted out of the theater. For some stupid reason her ship, the Tantive IV, is docked on a Rebel battleship that is assaulting the an imperial base. Why would you bring Princess Leia, an extremely valuable target for the empire, along to an extremely dangerous battle, just so she can sit around in her quarters and do nothing. And then at the end of the movie Darth Vader almost makes his way into her ship when chasing fleeing rebels with the Death Star plans. Vader sees her ship take off from the Rebel battleship. So that makes her lines at the beginning of Episode 4 make NO sense. Why would she even bother to tell Vader she was just on a diplomatic mission when he clearly saw her and her ship fleeing from a massive battle between the Empire and the Rebellion. One where the Rebellion attacked the Empire unprovoked and killed hundreds if not thousands." Thats an easy one. She was there to take the plans to Obi-Wan. This was established when Bail and Mon Mothma had the conversation about his Jedi friend. Bail specifically said he'd use his daughter to get to him. It was heavily implied anyway. Its unfortunate we live in a world where people can't enjoy a film without looking for reasons to criticize it. It's led to really bland, poor movies. Pretty much every action film and Marvel film is a rehash of something else. Marvel films are incredibly guilty of it. TFA was guilty of it. Blockbusters can't afford to break the meta.
  22. TFA was just a way to reintroduce the universe without f***ing it up. Episodes 8 and 9 will define the new trilogy. Sure, it was disappointing, but understandable. Re: the character motivations in the new film, they're pretty obvious. It's a war movie. What motivates any guerilla army? It's the fight against oppression. I really liked Cassian's character. He showed a gray area not seen before in Star Wars. Lucas wanted to do it with Han, but we all know how that went.
  23. Just amazing. I'll write more later, but it's easily the most tonally consistent Star Wars movie ever. It knew what it was from the very beginning and stuck to it. I'm really blown away. The main criticism I have is that, for a Star Wars film, the score was underwhelming.
  24. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Dec 18, 2016 -> 12:37 PM) To each his own. You want to feel sorry for a guy making his money going an extra 2 innings, and using that as an excuse why he gave up runs in the WS go ahead. Was it his fault he was suspended ? I wonder what his excuse was when Gordon Beckham beat his ass in 2015. Couldn't have been his fault. I don't feel sorry for him. Never said I did. You seem triggered. Relax.
  25. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Dec 17, 2016 -> 07:21 PM) Yeah. Poor guy had to pitch 7 innings in a WS. Gets a ring and an $86 million 5 year contract so he can go buy more guns and bullets ts and fire them at his girlfriend. I feel bad for him. If only we were all physically gifted enough to live life on our own terms.
