Quantum Of Solace was enjoyable. I'm not a Bond fan, but the movie kept me interested throughout. What's more interesting to me were some of the previews. There's a movie coming out called 2012, which is about the end of the world theory. It'll probably be the same as every other movie in that genre, but they always interest me. And I really want to see Valkyrie. That's the one about the assassination plot against Hitler by German army officers. Those two previews caused me to do a considerable amount of Wikipedia research.

Billy Beane is pretty darn good for running a small market team. I'd put him up there as well. Agreed completely with the bold part. I was also going to include Beane, but I didn't feel like dealing with the hundreds of posters who just simply hate the man. Like I said, it was all off the top of my head. I'd probably say KW is in or near the top three in baseball, but definitely not sports.

I think it could've easily gone to Piniella, Manuel, or Torre. I wouldn't have complained with any of those three winning. I'm sure Manuel doesn't give a rat's ass, though. And I'm also sure that this award is little consolation for Piniella.
