QUOTE(spiderman @ Aug 30, 2005 -> 07:20 PM) I take it that you agree that not everything is perfect right now in White Sox land. Take a look at any of my posts from...say...ever. Yes, everything is not perfect, far from it.

How long before someone calls this guy an asshole and tells him he isn't a fan? Everyone knows my stance on this, no point in saying it again.

QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Aug 30, 2005 -> 07:09 PM) Brandon McCarthy will get his first major league win tonight and the Sox are going to rip off a nice winning streak. You heard it here first It mostly depends on who Texas starts and if the offense can put up 10 runs. -
There's not even a guarantee we go 15-18.

QUOTE(jphat007 @ Aug 30, 2005 -> 06:49 PM) I'm worried about how they are playing, not about losing the division. Our lead is 6.5. Every team in baseball would KILL for a lead like that cept for the Cards. After this series is over we have an easy schedule just like the Indians have had. That lead keeps shrinking with every passing week. A few weeks ago we were the best team in baseball, then we were the best team in the AL (which will be gone before the season ends), and we might have to be worrying about being the best team in our division if things keep up. And I'm not too excited about making the playoffs. We're not very good against good teams. -

QUOTE(robinventura23 @ Aug 30, 2005 -> 06:41 PM) SP there, no hitting. Hitting coming around, SP struggling. When will they both be in sync? Hitting isn't coming around. They'll get nothing for a while, then have a couple good games, then nothing for a lot longer again. -

If this team blows this division lead, Ozzie should lose his job. That would just be pitiful and it would be shame to the south side. Any manager that lets his team blow a lead like that should not have a job when the season ends. -

QUOTE(robinventura23 @ Aug 30, 2005 -> 06:36 PM) I hate to break it to, but I have a feeling this is what you'll be getting. Yeah, I know it. I'm just trying to hold on to the slightest bit of hope that I have left. -

A little over a day for KW. He has to do something because even making the playoffs will now be a struggle, let alone not getting destroyed in the first round. He should know by now that he has to do whatever he can to help this team. He has to get someone to at least shake the team up. No move by midnight tomorrow will mean no second round of the playoffs for us. -

Losing this division gets more and more likely with each game played. And Cy Young on this team? Not gonna happen. And here I thought it was wrapped up a month ago. -

QUOTE(That funky motion @ Aug 30, 2005 -> 04:16 PM) Its ok Milkman will hold you! -
QUOTE(redandwhite @ Aug 30, 2005 -> 04:07 PM) The Red Sox already spited the Yankees, and in doing so the tables have turned. They've won 26 World Series. As much as you and the rest of RSN would like to believe you've got something on them, you don't.

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Aug 30, 2005 -> 03:59 PM) 2 good outings, 3 terrible ones, so it has worked a few times. Big difference now is Bmac got himself righted in aaa, his first two stints with the big club he was struggling down in aaa. Yeah, I'm not gonna argue with you because we'll just go around in circles. His start against Detroit seemed good, but he gave up about 4 balls right to the wall. The Cubs pulled a White Sox when he played them. They were putting terrible swings on the pitches and getting themselves out more than anything. I have no faith in him yet.

QUOTE(ChiSoxyGirl @ Aug 30, 2005 -> 03:54 PM) I got it. Thank you. I guess it was not so funny

QUOTE(JUGGERNAUT @ Aug 30, 2005 -> 03:51 PM) Dude, if you want to make a religious stereo-type joke go for the jugglar: James Cavaziel. Way off. Look at the top of the list of things he's been in, and I think my joke is fairly obvious.
-
I thought he would be on the Sox by Monday?!?! Bruce, you couldn't have given us bad information. This is unlike him. First round exit, here we come.

QUOTE(JUGGERNAUT @ Aug 30, 2005 -> 03:33 PM) Jake Loyd for my younger years when sports & comics were my life. Tom Cruise from All The Right Moves for my teen years. Somewhere between that & Joel of Risky Business was my life. Ben Affleck for my adult years. Tall, dark, & handsome Funny, I was thinking more along the lines of Rob Morrow. If you don't understand the joke, which I don't expect you to, here is a link: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001555/ I hope everyone gets the joke. And no, I've never watched that.

QUOTE(RDriesen @ Aug 30, 2005 -> 03:03 PM) wrong. i dont know where people get this idea, but we have no, NO money problems If you consider wasting your money on players that aren't helping you, then yes, you do. -

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Aug 30, 2005 -> 01:57 PM) Any other nitpicking, shades of gray scenarios you all would like to hash out? Wouldn't nitpicking also be telling people not to use harmless nicknames when showing the lineups?
-
QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Aug 30, 2005 -> 01:57 PM) This is unbelieveable. All journalists are being ordered to leave the city, downtown is now being flooded, including the french quarter, and thousands are believed to be still trapped on the roofs of their homes. (I heard all that on CNN btw, wish I had a link). Why didn't these people evacuate?
-
QUOTE(Jeckle2000 @ Aug 30, 2005 -> 01:37 PM) I like knowing that you guys are going to crack down on the personal attacks. However that is really only one of the many problems that have plagued this site lately. I realize that the Sox might not have the biggest track record of success lately, but it's almost sickening that you can come on a White Sox fan site and see so much negativity directed at the team. Now I'm not talking about guys like Fathom, I at least respect him because he always stays consistant with his opinions even if I don't agree with him. I'm talking about the ones that change their minds at the drop of a hat. ...and before one of you has a chance to point it out yes I was guilty of not being the most positive person myself for the first 6 months or so that I joined the site, but I was far from bashing a first place team into the ground. I'd like to think that I was at least consistant in my opinions. I'm just so darn sick of seeing the same people who bash the offense and demand KGJ when we lose praise the offense and act like were world beaters when we win. Who exactly praises the offense and acts like we're world beaters when we win and then bashes the team when they lose?
