  1. Buehrle No-Hitter 2006 Opening Day I'll never forget the feeling of absolute certainty about the White Sox repeating in 2006 that I had as I sat watching them destroy St. Louis 20-6. Sox missed the playoffs, Cardinals won it all.
  2. Hope he stays, even if that means AAA.
  3. I've always wanted the Sox to win it all with Bartolo Colon on the roster.
  4. I hope it's dead if the price for this bullshit was Madrigal and Vaughn. Hopefully it wasn't even entertained by Rickster.
  5. That's pretty much exactly what I expect if they sign him. If you're not going to get a SP via trade, go after one of the top two. If you're not willing to open the wallet for them, stand pat. Addition for the sake of addition sucks, and that's what throwing money at Bumgarner, Keuchel, or Ryu is.
  6. I'd rather they walk away empty-handed than spend money on either Bumgarner or Keuchel.
  7. Radio booth wasn't too fond of it.
  8. This World Series has been an absolute pleasure to watch, thus far.
  9. Late to this party, but a little surprised at the Walton hate. People need to lighten up (no pun intended) a little. I'll be in Europe, so I'll miss this, but I still hope he drops some Dead stories during the broadcast. It'll be miles better and far more interesting than company-lining another garbage Renteria lineup and smiling through their performance. This is late August in yet another year of sub-.500 White Sox baseball. What, honestly, did you expect? Mute the broadcast and loop some Yakety Sax on the stereo if you want an honest call.
  10. Maybe it's just the day drinking, but I enjoyed this thread.
  11. Jesus. Well, I was wrong about Dylan Covey.
  12. Would be cool if the Sox stopped running into each other on the field all the time. That would be the next milestone in the rebuild for me.
  13. I'm having a lot of difficulty finding anything on Bobson Dugnutt and Sleve McDichael.
  14. The Price is Wrong, b**** was what everyone officially agreed upon.
  15. I feel more confident with Covey on the mound than Lopez at the moment. Don't know about holding true in the long run, but Covey isn't as bad as he's made out to be, and he can still certainly improve.
  16. We have healthy amounts of ineptitude on this team. I feel like "two defenders collide and ball is dropped" would be on White Sox bingo if there was such a thing.
  17. Don't really have high hopes for Lopez. Fourth or Fifth starter is my guess at best case scenario. Hope I'm wrong.
  18. I'm just as confident in Lopez being nothing more than a fourth or (more likely) fifth starter as I was in Giolito's ability to realize his potential. Obviously, both of those are still up in the air...but watching Lopez pitch is bad for your health. It's shitty when the scoreboard reads 4-1 and you know that won't last.
  19. Rickster the Trickster
  20. Letting go of Garcia just because was a shit decision by a shit front office.
