  1. Fields was just as awful last year, until they decided to let him play to his strengths, then we all got excited. He isn't Tom Brady. Quit coaching him like he is. If he takes shots running the ball, so what. He takes shots in the pocket all game long too.
  2. He loaded them again, and wasn't so lucky the 2nd time.
  3. I was thinking the other day, Harry Caray and Jimmy Piersall would have ate TA alive this season. Was Kopech injured, or just "the opener" today?
  4. The Bears are the White Sox of the NFL.
  5. First team in NFL history to lose 12 in a row abd give up at least 25 points in every loss.
  6. Seeing the results, the team has obviously quit. He keeping his job may be harder to believe than how we had to spend 11 seasons with the Rick Hahn Experience.
  7. I think that is what they are playing for. 63 wins. The good news is it more than likely won’t make much of a difference with their lottery position, They have a shot at 3rd worst, but 4 seems pretty likely.
  8. Korey Lee needs to go 2-6 to be 9-71 in his career.
  9. Wasn’t he on the IL at the deadline? Kind of hard to trade a guy who is going to be out at least another month.
  10. It’s under the Red Hot Ranch umbrella, it’s technically 35th St. Dogs.
  11. $5 million for a month is going to bust every budget in September Some teams will make exceptions and break the budget, but not for a guy with Clevingers recent injury history, and just missing a month and a half. Explain the Rangers trade for Chapman? Explain was Uriah was on the Dodgers roster after his 2019 problem. Explain Marcel Ozuna in the Braves line up? He punched his wife right in front of a cop.Explain Roberto Osuna being acquired by the Astros. Explain Domingo Germans continued employment with the Yankees. And those are guys that actually got suspended.
  12. No. That’s the equivalent of a 30 million a year deal at that point most teams can’t add to their budget, plus he had just pitched one time the previous month and a half, I love how you ignore that to fit into your new claim that all teams except the White Sox give legit interviews to minorities and don’t employ scum. It’s weird you mention Gio. His payout for the month will be a third of Clevinger. But it’s stuff like this you throw out there when you are just wrong. And top prospect for Lynn. A 23 year old with a 5.00 ERA in AA? I think the Dodgers have better prospects than that.
  13. The only reason Clevinger went unclaimed is because he was owed the buyout, and he had just returned from injury. If the deadline was today, and he didn’t have that mutual buyout, multiple teams would hold their noses and claim him. Since he wasn’t suspended or anything, a team will pay him. I hope it’s not the White Sox.
  14. A we love Tony picnic is one of the greatest events I’ve ever heard.
  15. Sox are 13-27 since they fixed the clubhouse problem.
  16. They would have lost anyway, but Pedro managed horribly again tonight.left Urena in too long, didn't have a reliever ready, and let them blow the game open He has no strengths as a manager. I really thing they are keeping him around because they don't want to keep paying multiple managers and they know they will suck next year. Just remember where you heard it first, when Pedro is the scapegoat next yeat. This year, I think some coaches will be given the pink slip.
  17. So Rick and Kenny aren’t candidates?
  18. I just don’t understand the card only policy. It’s killing vendors as well. And I agree, they used Covid for this switch, but that makes no sense. The cash passed around supposedly would have spread the disease, but the vendors grabbing your card and everyone else’s wouldn’t? And it seems pretty ridiculous to have to tip someone 20% or feel like a cheap ass, for pouring you a $14 beer, suddenly making it almost $17. I’ve only gone to 4 or 5 games this year, and have bought nothing at the park. Red Hot Ranch double cheeseburger with fries and a coke is $10. McDonalds probably costs more, and isn’t as good.
  19. I think you're right. Before they put all the concession stands on the field side of the concourse, there were quite a few.
  20. I have no problem with people ripping JR. He has earned every bit. But piling on with Dave Wilder is a bit nuts.
  21. To be honest with you, I don’t see anything Dave Wilder said to be relevant. He was a minority outsider hired by the White Sox, something he said JR refused to do. He also said no one ever tried to get his side of his story until now. Total BS. I did a quick google search, and there is an article stating the Tribune asked for his side, he hung up. If anything, Wilder being an outsider, stealing from JR, might make JR even less likely to hire unknown people. His race plays no part. If he was white and did what he did, he wouldn’t be in baseball right now. Dave Wilder is a disgrace, and he still thinks although what he did was technically wrong, he has a legit excuse for it. How come no one else has hired him? He is blaming JR for his troubles. He just loved that someone gave him a chance to be relevant again. I’m sure after this article, if any team was even tempted to give him a low level role, they are tempted no more.
  22. He has until next spring to improve. Despite all that is wrong with him, Pedro penciled him in the starting line up 66 times this season. I was excited after watching Pedro get introduced last winter. But it turns out he is a really bad manager. Someone who could probably use a trip to the minors himself.
  23. You also have to have the neighborhood sign off on it, and Bridgeport will not. They don’t want that. And really, does it even make sense economically? I read something about Goose Island Brewery who once had a place by Wrigley. They wanted to stay, but lost their lease. Their landlord didn’t want a long term committment. They wanted to go month to month. Goose Island said no because even in Wrigleyville with 40k there every game, and a more dense population within a 2 or 3 mile radius, Goose Islamd said they lost money during the offseason. If the landlord pulled their lease right before the season started, they lose a ton of money. For this type of thing to work, they would need a new area in the city or some suburb with the Bears.
