  1. Exactly. You do a real deep dive into it, he has been really bad. Just think of the advantage the Sox had being in the ALC. They are the only team never to dominate it for a few years. They should have blown everyone else out.
  2. What really would make a lot of sense is dropping a baseball stadium in with the Bears stadium at Arlington Park. The 78 makes more sense. Wouldn't even have to change the City Connect jerseys. Of course neither will ever happen.
  3. I don't understand the fascination people have with placing a baseball team at Soldier Field. It's a nightmare to get to. The CTA stop is literally a mile a while. LSD is always crowded. The Bears do it less than 10 times a season. For the White Sox, it would be horrible.
  4. For all those worried the Sox may move to Nashville, it isn't going to happen in JR's time. If it was so easy to move, a couple of teams would have been there for years, and there is no way the AL will abandon Chicago like they would Oakland or Tampa.
  5. Just have to flush these losses and prepare to kick their ass next game. Going to control both sides of the ball. Pedro is a bigger bullshitter than Hahn.
  6. Pedro shouldn't even be given the rest of the season. Admit your mistake and fire him now. We're going to control both sides of the ball. Last in baseball by a huge margin. This guy doesn't deserve another day as a major league manager.
  7. This was always the plan. They just thought they would be winning right now and gaining public support to at least partially build them a new home. 6 years left on the lease, they need to start building within 3 years.
  8. Things might not change, but they also might. One way they won’t change is keeping these same clowns in place.
  9. While it's better than nothing, it still raises questions. Can't he see the results? Really, almost everyone has to go. Getz has been as bad as his job as Hahn. Grifol may be the worst manager in baseball. I don't know what KW brings to the table. The team obviously tuned out any coaching, or the coaching is horrible. Either way, they need to go. The only chance I see here is if KW pulls a Pax, and tells JR, the group in place can't do it. It's been proven. But his ego is huge, so that is probably off the table. Other than that, I expect a token firing or reassigment at best.
  10. It's so true. He's basically admitted he no longer is trying to win championships with the Bulls. Just trying to be good enough to collect some playoff money, without ever having to pay for a team that can win it all.
  11. They really need to start whacking employees now. I’d start with Hahn.
  12. There is definitely a lot of truth to this. Every time they are good he has some sort of I told you so. The problem is , and what he won’t realize is there are way more I told you sos against him than with him.
  13. Bobs column next week will probably say JR has finished his interviews and the consensus is the Sox struggles were the fault of Middleton, Lynn, Kelly, and Graveman, and luckily they were able to get rid of all of them, and pick up some can’t miss prospects in the meantime.
  14. I also don’t know how or why you could keep KW if you fire Hahn. Then you would be saying Hahn was fucking up, KW knew this but let him slide? I could see an instance or two you disagree with what he wants to do but you let it go because that is his job. But to let it go to the extent the team gets to this point? They all need to go. Make sure there is room in the clown car out of town for Haber and Getz, All these guys were giddy about Pedro Grifol, one of thw worst managers in team history. He almost makes Terry Bevington look competent.
  15. If JR has been doing these interviews, who exactly has he been speaking with associated with the team the last 2 seasons? Shouldn’t he have asked most people what exactly is going on here 1000 times by now? If he can’t see he needs a new manager, new coaches, a new GM, and new developmental people, it is beyond hope. Sell the team JR. Spend the rest of your years counting your money, and give the rest of us hope we may actually cheer for a good team more than once or twice a decade.
  16. The fact that they have to conduct interviews to see if changes are needed is telling. They obviously can’t determine that by the results.
  17. Exactly what I thought. Do you think er need to fire you? The funny thing is no one will say they need to be fired, but others know something has to change so they will have to blame someone. So there probably will be a token firing with everyone remaining knowing so.eone is willing to stab them in theback to save their cushy job. If you don't know what's wrong , bringi someone from the outside abd pay them to conduct these interviews and provide a report. And act on the report.
  18. I know there are jokes, and I even chuckled at a couple of them. But it's pretty sad you can't pump gas at 3 in the afternoon in a heavily populated area, and be safe. It's time something is done.
  19. So the idea is for people to fill the stadium to tell Jerry to sell the team. For some reason, I don’t think that is going to work. He will be laughing at people giving him money to tell him to sell the team. I’m pretty sure he already knows most White Sox fans wish he sold yesterday. It isn’t going to happen.
  20. The whole leadership thing is overblown to me. Robert was honest. He doesn’t hav that type of personality. It’s nice to have a couple of players who have that and can step up, but if you don’t have them, that is what a manager is for. If the guy in that position cannot lead, you have to find someone who can. Pedro obviously isn’t that guy.
  21. I'm thinking they were thinking they were going to go on a several year run, and probably at least start whispering they need a new park probably by now. The last couple of years probably have wrecked that dream. They aren't getting a park unless JR wants to pay for it, and that will never happen. He did pop for half the United Center.
  22. The most sobering thought is this regime doesn't know how to build a contender with most of the pieces. When they are missing a lot of them, there is zero chance. JR's loyalty will be put to the test soon. He remains loyal to all these clowns, his bank account is going to take a huge hit.
  23. It’s turn back the clock year. They will find some old and hurt guys like Jimmy Rollins, Brett Lawrie, Austin Jackson, and dinner Navarro p, and call themselves a contender.
  24. At least he is playing tonight. I was watching channel 2 and they said he was out again tonight with a stiff back.
  25. Rules are rules. The White Sox threw Carlton Fisk out of the clubhouse in 1993 when he came to wish his ex teammates luck. I wonder why they dont enforce the smoking rule at the ballpark. JR always has a stogie going.
