It's true. Someone here posted it, and I was like you, how can that be possible? So I looked it up. It's possible.

Giolito & Reynaldo to LAA. Update: Angels put on waivers
Dick Allen replied to Sleepy Harold's topic in Pale Hose Talk
The Sox payroll is double Cleveland's. JR has been cheap, but Rick has spent money foolishly. It's not the reason the team sucks. -
Reading some of these are funny. White Sox fans and prospects are like Bears fans and back up QBs. They are almost all awesome until they actually have to play for the team.

If the Sox lose tonight, it will be the 2nd at least 7 game losing streak of the season They have had a total of two 7 game winning streaks in the 11 years Rick Hahn has been GM. Can you fire him today?

That's a good question. I would return if they fielded a team worthy of me spending money on it would be the answer, but that would require new decision makers as I don't trust anyone they have in place to get the team to sustained winning That probably requires an ownership change. We have all seen this movie before. Several times. Always ends the same except once.

It's true. They haggle over 50k. And they never made him an extension offer. Ozzie was perplexed why they never discussed an extension. But a players executive council member during labor strife is the answer. He did last longer than any of the other Sox player reps lasted who were there during strikesand lockouts.

I had season tickets except for 2012 for around 30 years. Most of the time, a full season. I didn't have them in 2012 because the guy I had seats with died. I really missed it so my wife agreed to go with me most of the time on a weekend plan. I enjoyed it, and they always took care of their season ticketholdrrs. Once they became decent again in 2020, they stopped treating us like royalty. Igave them up after last season and couldn't be happier. I still go to games. Maybe 6 or 7 this season. I can still go whenever I want. Usually very cheap. I missed the perks. I guess they will bring that back next year. But I'm very happy I don't give them my money for this. Sox fans deserve better.

Maybe they want to play short again. It saves almost 4k per game. -

I'll call it a retool if they replace the payroll that comes off the books. Somehow, I doubt that will happen. -

I don't mind them trading Cease, but if they are going to make any management changes, re. Hahn, KW, he needs to be on the roster for the new regime to decide what to do with. -

these guys think lts close to 20 years ago, and everything works the same. 2005 they won. 2006 they played well but missed the playoffs. 2007 disaster. 2008 snuck into the playoffs. Now. 2021 made the playoffs. 2022 medicore. 2023 is this team's 2007. Now JR and KW and RH think they can get lucky again and next year make the playoffs. When you think about the fine line between winning and losing and go back to 2005, the only year under JR's watch the Sox won a playoff series, if a ball doesn't go through Tony Graffinino's legs, if El Duque pitches like he did the whole season his appearance in Boston, 2005 is all the other years the Sox won the division. -
2023-24 NFL Season Thread

Mongo McMichael just made it to the final 12 for the HOF. If he's ever going to get in, they should do it now. Waiting much longer, he will probably not be around, and that would be BS. -
Rick has been GM for 11 seasons. For him, that's a good run. For us, it's a bad run. Fire his ass. Today.

Hahn had the same with Gio that he had with Sale. I wonder if it ever gets old talking to someone about your failures.

I understand those that wanted Gio re-upped, but what you don't understand is that he was a player rep during labor problems, and was a little outspoken. That doesn't fly with JR. He was never going to be extended. What they ot for him , on paper, is fairly decent, which is good, because everyone else they are going to trade soon will be lucky to get you a Ryan Cordell-like return. I'm sure the Sox will f*** up the catcher. -
I thought the same thing. Now is the time to improve the organization? What about the last 2 offseasons and deadlines? One way to improve is for him to leave.
