Rick is still waiting for the team to wake up. He needs to wake up. It isn't happening. The sooner you start clearing tradeable pieces out, the better. They are worth more, and can't get hurt playing meaningless White Sox games. Remember when Hawk as the GM was a bad joke? .444 winning percentage. This team has a .429 winning percentage, and they still think they have a shot.

It's amazing how many games this team loses they should win. -

TA has a .507 OPS at home. It’s only the 4th worst in tonight’s line up. -
Since Rick Hahn was GM, and he's one of the longest tenured in the business, the White Sox have had 1 season where the team was better than average and fans could attend games.

If it comes back, I would bet thee is a 99% chance it's in some different form. And the front office won't participate.

Re about your comment JR would not allow another rebuild. I would tend to agree with you, but remember during the seasons of the last , very recent rebuild, JR never made more money.

Pedro interviewed well and told them what they wanted to hear. 1B and DH as RF? That’s great we just need them ready to play. They weren’t going to hire anyone that disagreed with their analysis. They were willing to listen, then dismiss. Larry Himes was hated by JR, he did it a different way. He set the franchise up for sustained success they were unable to sustain before he was fired. When they hired Ozzie, KW and Ozzie will both tell you during his interviews, Ozzie told KW what he was doing wrong. It eventually led to the one year we have all been alive the White Sox ever won a playoff series. When things aren’t working you can continue to do exactly the same thing again and again thinking things will eventually change, but you are going to find out the hard way the change won’t be for the better. With this rebuild, the White Sox got to the point where it was over and they went back to operating like they have operated all the years they failed miserably where going for it, and all in couldn’t get you meaningful games in September. They had 6 starter in the organization, and that was with Kopech not going to be able to go the entire season even if healthy. One of many grounds for termination. And Chris Getz, how come there isn’t anyone in the minor league system that can’t pick up some innings? Since you took the job every quote from you is raving about some player, Someome needs to tell Chris to go coach a travel team or something.

I think they were pretty much stuck, either go total rebuild or try again until the deadline and dump guys then. They probably determined going this way , even if it doesn’t work, was worth a few less ping pong balls in the lottery. The NBA may be finally changing. For years there never were more than a few teams that really had a chance to win the championship or even make the finals. The playoffs will-never be the crapshoot like other sports, but it is getting closer.

I would think at this point the teams main goal is to keep Giolito healthy and effective until they trade him. He’s the one guy that’s going to go that can bring something useful back, unless Cease and Robert and Kopech are available. They don’t have much that will get you a prospect the Sox wouldn’t have to develop too much to be a major league contributor. Anyone they would have to be significantly developed is a blah acquisition because it rarely happens. How the f*** is Rick Hahn still an MLB GM?

I would guess Soxfest is a thing of the past, much like many perks they used to give season ticket holders, that were eliminated using the pandemic as an excuse. They did have season ticket holder appreciation events this year, where season tickeholders could buy more tickets to attend their “appreciation” activities. I think Soxfest is going the way of the Edsel.

Lynn is James Shields at this point. Too bad Hahn isn't a GM for some other team -
Bullpen game with Banks starting. 1 run allowed in 8 innings. How does Pedro try to blow this? Please no Lopey.
-
It's not only that, we aren't halfway through and akopech is almost at a career high in innings and needs to be monitored. The FO didn't even try the last 2 years.

Robert is pretty much a HOFer when he's not trying to yank it down the LF line.

When I was a kid my dad must of taught me some pretty advanced, s%*# since the White Sox players can't seem to get it. When he was a kid he was on some all star ream coached by Rogers Hornsby who hit .400 in the major leagues. My dad adapted his philosophy. Always look for patterns.99 percent of the time you sit on a fastball. With no strikes make the ball be in a small box you really like. With 1 strike the box gets a little bigger. With 2 strike you have to be defensive. If you're hitting too many groundballs focus on the bottom of the ball. You are by default, working counts.Too much air, focus on the top. Semns pretty simple. Sox hitters go up there flailing away like the just put $1 in their local batting cages. There was other stuff like using the batters box as a tool, but that was the just of it.

I don't understand why this ongoing problem hasn't been addressed one way or another. Despite what they may say, it means this organization has accepted mediocrity at best. Their paying customers should take notice.

Accountability isn’t a problem with the White Sox.
