  1. Lance Lynn is the reincarnation of James Shields. Supposed tough guys who suck so bad. They also have a tendency to have the games they pitch be over in the 1st inning.
  2. But Dan Bernstein and his son have a podcast and they said Ayo was a goner. They have great soources.
  3. Looking like it might be mission accomplished.
  4. I have the feeling if they don't trade him, the will DFA him soon after.
  5. Paulie would be a great hitting coach. He'd never do it.
  6. Bacon says heaumer, zeaun, yesterday Benintendi had a sneau ceaune.
  7. I think it's by design. Cease does the same thing.
  8. I agree. What's the difference between 22 and 30? Chances are you may have a reliever who can sometimes get people out, and a few replascement level guys. I'm still waiting for the White Sox to develop someone not highly thought of when signed, that becomes a professional hitter. Like Maggs, but doesn't even need to be as good as he was.
  9. They just don't develop anyone thats not premium like Sale and Robert. They haven't had a 2nd round pick put up a 2.0 career WAR for them for over 50 years. When is the last time they drafted a guy anywhere but the first round and he became a real solid regular player? The only time they weren't among the worst systems is when they traded for players other teams developed.
  10. I have no idea. Maybe he has one leg a little longer than the other and his gait compensates for it and causes problems. All I know is since I've watched sports, some guys are always hurt, some guys get hurt once in a while, and some guys seem to be able to always answer the bell. And they are all shapes and sizes in all categories. I personally feel some are just more susceptible to injuries. He apparently drew a short straw. It would be great if the Big Hurt was correct, and it was just lack of preparation. That would be fixable. I have a hard time believing the White Sox would let this linger as long as it has if that was the case.
  11. It has to be because he's injury prone. The guy is 26 years old. Most 26 year olds can run 90 feet and not get hurt, whether they stretch out or spend a winter getting their legs in shape.
  12. We don't know that, and it's hard to believe even the White Sox would let him slack. I like Frank, but he's not around the team, so he has no idea.
  13. That's fine, but you're assuming he doesn't do these things. I would be willing to bet if he doesn't want to do these things, the White Sox force him to. They are paying him a lot of money. Some guys just don't have bodies that hold up all that well.
  14. What is Eloy obviously not doing that he should be doing? I'm as frustrated as anyone he's hurt again, but to say it's all because of neglect is making a ton of assumptions. He may just have body parts that breakdown. The real sad part about this is, he's probably going to be on a major decline earlier than most.
  15. I've been to games and have seen Eloy on the field stretching and running with the training staff.
  16. Eloy was grimacing after he rolled into a DP.
  17. The Braves are what the White Sox were supposed to be.
  18. According to Nightengale, Pedro’s predecessor, Tony, also had cancer.
  19. It’s always been the case. People give Yaz s%*# but he and Seby have the same CS rate over the last 3 years. Most of the time, Johnny Bench in his prime has no chance.
  20. When they struggled controlling the zone on the offensive side of the ball, we heard they were all learning a system and it was going to get better. It didn’t get better. The team, almost 100 games , is still ill prepared. Nothing has been better. He can give subtle call outs all he wants, but they need to have an effect. They never do. He seems like a fine man, and a nice guy to have on a staff, but he is not a major league manager. A Peter Principle guy.
  21. When he has any semblance of command he is a starter, and a good one. When he does not, he is not useful in any way. Why would not making it through an inning make people think he’s a good reliever? He’s gone through this before, hopefully he can turn it around. I also hope it isn’t because he’s hurt a lot worse than thought.
  22. With this quote he admits they are not prepared. And they game after this quote, they seemed even less prepared. That’s his job. He has failed. Time to move on.
  23. The reason the Sox suck isn’t Pedro Grifol. But, and I was very impressed with his introductory press conference when hired, he’s all talk. The team isn’t prepared. They were still on break last night. They don’t hustle. They don’t control the zone like we were told they will on both sides of the ball. In fact, they are one of baseballs worst. He has no guts to put TA in a different slot I’m the order. His bullpen usage is wacky. Hitters seem like they never have read a scouting report or looked at video at way too many pitchers. The best manager in the world may have this team in contention because they only have to be around .500. It’s rather obvious Pedro is in over his head. What exactly does he bring that Ricky Renteria did not? A competent front office would let him go at the end of the season. A competent owner would let the GM go by now. I have the feeling they all will be back next year. If they are and somehow put together a team that should be decent, Pedro’s bad managing will be a reason they failed. Just another in a long line of JR, KW, RH mistakes.
  24. We’re going to control the strike zone on both sides of the ball.
