Just have to flush these losses and prepare to kick their ass next game. Going to control both sides of the ball. Pedro is a bigger bullshitter than Hahn.
-
Pedro shouldn't even be given the rest of the season. Admit your mistake and fire him now. We're going to control both sides of the ball. Last in baseball by a huge margin. This guy doesn't deserve another day as a major league manager.

When Do the Sox Talk About a New Stadium??
Dick Allen replied to jasonxctf's topic in Pale Hose Talk
This was always the plan. They just thought they would be winning right now and gaining public support to at least partially build them a new home. 6 years left on the lease, they need to start building within 3 years. -
While it's better than nothing, it still raises questions. Can't he see the results? Really, almost everyone has to go. Getz has been as bad as his job as Hahn. Grifol may be the worst manager in baseball. I don't know what KW brings to the table. The team obviously tuned out any coaching, or the coaching is horrible. Either way, they need to go. The only chance I see here is if KW pulls a Pax, and tells JR, the group in place can't do it. It's been proven. But his ego is huge, so that is probably off the table. Other than that, I expect a token firing or reassigment at best.

They really need to start whacking employees now. I’d start with Hahn.
-
There is definitely a lot of truth to this. Every time they are good he has some sort of I told you so. The problem is , and what he won’t realize is there are way more I told you sos against him than with him.
-
I also don’t know how or why you could keep KW if you fire Hahn. Then you would be saying Hahn was fucking up, KW knew this but let him slide? I could see an instance or two you disagree with what he wants to do but you let it go because that is his job. But to let it go to the extent the team gets to this point? They all need to go. Make sure there is room in the clown car out of town for Haber and Getz, All these guys were giddy about Pedro Grifol, one of thw worst managers in team history. He almost makes Terry Bevington look competent.

If JR has been doing these interviews, who exactly has he been speaking with associated with the team the last 2 seasons? Shouldn’t he have asked most people what exactly is going on here 1000 times by now? If he can’t see he needs a new manager, new coaches, a new GM, and new developmental people, it is beyond hope. Sell the team JR. Spend the rest of your years counting your money, and give the rest of us hope we may actually cheer for a good team more than once or twice a decade.

Exactly what I thought. Do you think er need to fire you? The funny thing is no one will say they need to be fired, but others know something has to change so they will have to blame someone. So there probably will be a token firing with everyone remaining knowing so.eone is willing to stab them in theback to save their cushy job. If you don't know what's wrong , bringi someone from the outside abd pay them to conduct these interviews and provide a report. And act on the report.

So the idea is for people to fill the stadium to tell Jerry to sell the team. For some reason, I don’t think that is going to work. He will be laughing at people giving him money to tell him to sell the team. I’m pretty sure he already knows most White Sox fans wish he sold yesterday. It isn’t going to happen.

The whole leadership thing is overblown to me. Robert was honest. He doesn’t hav that type of personality. It’s nice to have a couple of players who have that and can step up, but if you don’t have them, that is what a manager is for. If the guy in that position cannot lead, you have to find someone who can. Pedro obviously isn’t that guy.

When Do the Sox Talk About a New Stadium??
Dick Allen replied to jasonxctf's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I'm thinking they were thinking they were going to go on a several year run, and probably at least start whispering they need a new park probably by now. The last couple of years probably have wrecked that dream. They aren't getting a park unless JR wants to pay for it, and that will never happen. He did pop for half the United Center. -
The most sobering thought is this regime doesn't know how to build a contender with most of the pieces. When they are missing a lot of them, there is zero chance. JR's loyalty will be put to the test soon. He remains loyal to all these clowns, his bank account is going to take a huge hit.

It’s turn back the clock year. They will find some old and hurt guys like Jimmy Rollins, Brett Lawrie, Austin Jackson, and dinner Navarro p, and call themselves a contender.

8/16 Game Thread: White Sox @ Cubs 7:05CT
Dick Allen replied to Bob Sacamano's topic in 2023 Season in Review
At least he is playing tonight. I was watching channel 2 and they said he was out again tonight with a stiff back. -
I get that, and even if he's making minimum he's doing better than most of us, so a babysitter shouldn't be too hard. But, this is a bit different. He was traded so recently his kids probably still live in the apartment the team probably helped him find to live in during the season. He's used it all season, and it probably has some familiarity with his kids and maybe they are friends with other players' kids. He's probably thinking he's doing his little ones a solid taking them there. Again, I have no idea how old his kids are, or any liability concerns the White Sox would have.

White Sox’s Romy Gonzalez Undergoes Labrum Surgery
Dick Allen replied to South Side Hit Men's topic in Pale Hose Talk
To me, he's just like Romy, and Yolmer and Saladino.... they are all basically the same. They each will have their moments, but in the end, they just weren't good enough. The funny thing is, for the most part, these guys were pretty solid fundamentally, but they wind up getting exposed, and their careers are over before you know it. -
I get the point. My thing is this guy was just traded. I have no idea how old his kids are, but if they are 3 or 4 they may be friends with other players kids in the daycare. For some reason, when Jim Thome left and came back the next season with the Twins, I have a hard time believing if his kids were 3 or 4 or 5 at the time and he tried to drop them off, they would say no. Technically, maybe it's not allowed, but unless there is some reason like insurance or whatever, it's just something they should have let slide IMO. Too many weird coincidences with Middleton right after popping off. Ozzie even agrees with me. Middleton coming out with this stuff did the White Sox a favor. They can deny it all they want. Make all the excuses, but they need to learn. Lynn corroborated what he said. Others who have left have said some things. A good organization, or an organization that wants to be good , learns from it. The ones mired in mediocrity at best, get all defensive, and work on excuses for when the next guy says something.
