  1. Cueto throws harder than Kopech.
  2. Does McGuire have options left? Seby wuld have to clear waivers to be sent back. That would seem unlikely at this point.

They will try, but it's going to be tough. I'm sure JR isn't losing money, but it didn't pile up as high this year as he thought it would last October.
  4. It's not all that difficult to figure out the manager is a problem. Just watch him mumble his way through a post-game press conference. And then ask yourself, if you knew nothing else, would that be a guy you would hire to help win championships? Forget the off field stuff which should have DQd him, he is in decline. Get someone who is not for the second half, and see if that helps.
  5. I think the core is a fine start, but the organization needs an overhaul. We have seen things this year we have never seen before. Also an overall lack of concentration, lack of hustle, lack of baseball IQ that's from the players. The front office had a failure of an offseason. The manager and coaching staff make curious decisions . But I think the biggest problem is despite all of the obvious we see,( I love TA , but how many dumb mistakes can you make on the bases in a week) other than Keuchel, no one has been held accountable. Until that changes, nothing else will. Fire Tony.
  6. Kenny's wife retired from TV news last year. I also read where Kenny said something along the lines of his last contract was going to be his last. Who knows, maybe it's for 10 years, but I am holding out hope he retires soon. The problem is , it seems there is very little chance they would replace him with an outsider, so the stench would linger.
  7. So everyone wants the Sox to rebuild again?
  8. It's tough, but the Sox did what every other team would have done. Sorry Ryan, it's a cold business,, especially for fringe guys. Injured fringe guys.
  9. I'm old enough to remember Wimpy, the most uncontroversial player ever saying LaRussa wasn't qualified to manage a lemonade stand.
  10. I read somewhere that sucks to the Blackhawks because they take the cap hit. i guess with the rebuild it doesn't matter much, but it could.
  11. Players make the HOF because they are great players. Managers make the HOF because they had great players. Tony seems to think his rosters resembled the 2017 White Sox but his genius made up for it.
  12. Thats what really pisses me off. Every one of his "I'm smarter than you" don't make the obvious move moves, blow up in his face. At some point, it's time for the higher ups to call a clown is a clown. It's not only the fans that deserve better, it's the players as well.

Firing Tony would be admitting he was wrong. That takes time. No way he does it during the season. I am hoping Tony realizes he sucks and walks away at the All Star break. But other than that, I think he's here until the end of the season. Then I think it's almost guaranteed he isn't coming back. They will come up with some excuse other than being incompetent, although that will be the real reason. I am sure KW and RH and even JR know Tony isn't a guy that is going to lead a baseball team to a championship anymore.
  14. Even Stone was flabbergasted Tony pitched to Torkelson. He tried to hide it, but couldn't.
  15. Yes. Pollock hit RHP pretty well, but chances are he was in a far more balanced line up when he faced them with other teams. Pitchers can sometimes struggle finding their slots when the line up is balanced. A real LHH would do this team some good.
  16. You could also say the people who thought the Sox should just spend the $1 million to buy out Kimbrel and spend the savings on a real left handed hitter probably had a better thought process than the Michigan, Harvard, and NU educated Sox GM.
  17. I think this team is more like the 1984 White Sox than any other Sox team they have been compared. Huge expectations. TLR in the dugout. Can't hit. Can't catch, can't pitch when they have to pitch. IIRC, they started slowly, won a bit at the All Star break. Got a game or two over .500 and I think were in first place, before they started playing like they played most of the season again.
  18. I get that, and you are most likely correct, although there are many players that just can't handle NYC. But I would definitely trade Pollock for him. You might be stuck with Pollock another year for 8 figures if he stays around.
  19. Leury is a big time player. Don't look at the results. That's too easy.
  20. Couldn't agree more. There is no question Rick is a smart guy, but there are plenty of smart guys that can't build championship baseball teams, and he has proven it many times he's one of them. Everything you wrote is true. How can they blame injuries when the same guys get hurt every year?
  21. It's too easy to play withj a complete roster. That's why the Sox manager is the best. He makes everything complicated.
  22. The Sox paid him the same amount they paid Rodon last year. He’ll be a revelation. As bad as this season has been for the team, it pales in comparison to the train wreck of an off-season Hahn had. Just brutal. He clearly can’t get the Sox where they want to go, and neither can Tony.
  23. It was a nice thought.
  24. The offense didn't show up for the biggest series of the season. It isn't like they are facing Cy Young type guys
