I think it was 144 in 2019. His career major league inning's pitched are not much more than Rodon. No guarantee moving forward he holds up the last six weeks at 32 years old.

If the Sox sold out every day regardless of record I think they would have a top 5 payroll. If this team can go on a 3 to 5 year run it will certainly be interesting how the payroll unfolds. They have had some large crowds this year. You can't even begin to see a path for the cubs out of what they are in currently. If the Sox were ever going to move the needle in this city, this time and this team are it.

I think they are trying to protect Vaughn as he has never played anywhere close to this number of games in season, never played above A ball and is being told to learn a couple of different positions. The fact he is still sane is amazing. Moncada hitting 5th is something as there are real hitters in this lineup now. Why is he not after Robert and against RHP after Goodwin.

I wouldn't mind Grandal at DH until the last two weeks of September.

The first inning broadcast said he was out when they looked at it after the break. That one was debatable the second one even if he was clearly out there was not risk in challenging.

In real time during the game the first inning review appeared that it would not be overturned. The still photo appears otherwise but you still do not see the foot on the bag. You need both time stamped photos for that. The 7th inning was idiotic to say the least as there is no reason to not challenge.

He should know the rule and not waste a microsecond to know to challenge the call to end the 7th as there is literally nothing to lose by challenging that even if you are wrong.

They love to ground into double plays.

So pinch hitting the lefties earlier cost them now.
