  1. That fact Konerko has gotten through the White Sox OG/KW and Frank Thomas soap operas without a negative thing to say gives him all the right in the world to do what he wants. The White Sox do not have to wait around for him. I want him back but if not, as long as the money goes somewhere I am fine.
  2. The brutality that is NBA officiating never ceases to amaze me. Boozer almost had his nose broken and gets 'T'ed' for pointing it out.
  3. QUOTE (Frank_Thomas35 @ Dec 6, 2010 -> 07:09 PM) KW spoke of a Plan B and C today for 1B - well according to a scout, Derrek Lee is on the radar. Is he B or C? Does it matter? Adds defense. half a minute ago via TweetDeck From cowley.... Well who knows anymore. If Konerko does not come back, Lee is a no brainer as the next option. Herm can keep him healthy.
  4. Rizzo is MLB's version of Josh McDaniel right now.
  5. Going back to the Garcia move the White Sox have to sign him as there is no rotation or bullpen depth currently in the organization. Sale is not a rotation option as there is a one man bullpen right now in Thorton and a huge hole in the rotation until Peavy proves otherwise.
  6. Actually the Sears Centre would be a better option to draw from the Rockford area.
  7. Why not just go all out for Crawford. I have always thought Werth benefitted from the team around him. Terrible move IMHO.
  8. We all think that payroll addition is there this offseason but what if Rios was on the block for a young speedy CF that could replace Pierre at the top of the order eventually.
  9. "All-in" to me means signing Beltre to a one year deal as his market is thin for teams that can give him a shot at winning.
  10. IMHO Konerko seems a bit to proud to just collect a paycheck and not produce. I think he goes 2 years with a mutual option for a third and player only for a 4th.
  11. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Dec 3, 2010 -> 01:02 PM) It must have been one of the other rotating GMs that decided to keep Kotsay last year, not Kenny. The first thing Guillen did last offseason was to go to KW and get Kotsay resigned.
  12. The best part of the Cowley thing was that he was on the SCORE talking about how Olivio was looking to have a good shot and AJ was gone.....what a douche. This morning he was defending the Ozeroo's decision to go with the rotating GM. His point was that it was an organizational move not a OG move. I thought it was obvious that KW was allowing OG to try this way of doing things. I guess I could have been wrong.....
  13. Looks like KW found his other $0.50
  14. Sign Derek Lee. He has injury issues but he could give the Sox a hometown discount and he and Dunn could platoon at first. This would ease the pain from the passing of Paul Konerko as I like Derek Lee a whole bunch.
  15. Right now the White Sox bullpen consists of Santos, Sale and Thorton.
  16. That SOA ending certainly was something. I was going to grab season one of Mad Men for 12.00 at Best Buy but did not, I regret it. I did get Season 1 of SOA.
  17. QUOTE (fathom @ Nov 30, 2010 -> 03:50 PM) Oh, I agree. I haven't heard Hudson is a bad guy...rather, he's just very vocal. I think a lot of it depends on what happens to Konerko and AJP, and the impact that has on our clubhouse. Wasn't he with Guillen and Pierre down in Florida?
  18. I have always liked the SEC as I like Georgia, South Carolina and Auburn and detest Florida and Alabama. Not sure why That was really good game to be an Auburn fan..mixed with the Blackhawks, good afternoon.
  19. I like Morel at third. If you are going to trade Floyd you better get something a little better than Mark Teahen.
  20. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 25, 2010 -> 10:14 AM) The one thing about the Bulls is they are going to have to start getting something from the second string. Guys are playing a ton of minutes right now. I'd be really afraid especially of Rose wearing down as the season goes on. At least with Boozer, you know help is coming for the front line. There isn't that in the backcourt. Hell Rose played just about 100 minutes the last two games of a back to back. Rose and Noah are both young enought to handle it in short spurts. They were freasher than the Suns in both OT's and they played a tough game the night before. I hate the NBA but the Bulls are easier to watch then the Hawks right now and my hated of Loual Deng has been surpassed by Patrick Kane. I think I would take Rose and Noah over Bosh and Wade they are younger and I think together they are better....oh LeBron you f***ed yourself...awesome
  21. QUOTE (fathom @ Nov 23, 2010 -> 02:39 PM) I'm 100% sure the trade went down Wednesday afternoon around 2PM, with Gio's name coming out an hour or so later. Yep I was at a party that night and that was when the godlike misconception of Rowand began. There was that group and the folks that thought Gio should not have been included.
  22. I followed to this board after the MLB Sox Board went insane. The Koch trade being the one that was known well before it happened on Sox message boards. Also the KW personal life stuff and his almost "resigning" . My sig used to be HSC's Biggest Fan because of all of the inside information that went on around here, sans the guy that had the knowledge of Frank Thomas contract that only he, Frank and JR knew. This board was built on inside information that was spot on that is no longer here. Can I please get on a PM thing as it looks cool when I e-mail people this stuff and it comes true. Also I may need a new screen name shortly.....I will cry a little bit when that happens. The Sox need AJ as there are no leaders on this team although it would be good to see how OZ handles it when he as complete control.
  23. QUOTE (NIUSox @ Nov 21, 2010 -> 04:48 PM) Excited that NIU clinched the MAC West yesterday and will be playing in MAC championship game. Also they are #26 in the AP and Coaches polls! I would love to see an NIU v. Northwestern or U of I game
  24. QUOTE (dasox24 @ Nov 20, 2010 -> 02:56 PM) I saw what Fathom was seeing. I thought it was just like the Spurs game... The Mavs went on a 24-4 run, I believe. I don't remember the actual numbers of the Spurs run, but I'd say that's as good of a run as the Spurs made on us. I know people like to call out fathom for being negative (and he usually is, haha), but in this case I think he's right. or the home team turned up the intensity at home to get back into the game and on the 2nd night of a road back-to-back, the Bulls could not match the intensity and the other the Bulls weathered the storm. The Bulls are more enoyable to watch than the Hawks right now and I hate the NBA.
  25. QUOTE (Swingandalongonetoleft @ Nov 19, 2010 -> 05:35 PM) Larry Rothschild is taking his talents to NYC*. Mark Gonzales and Cowley have both referred to him as a rat in some tweets. What is that about? *Yankees The guy gets more out of pitchers than anyone...Ryan Dempster owes him millions. This is a real bad move by the cubs
