  1. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Dec 5, 2011 -> 02:04 PM) And that hardly qualifies him for the Hall Of Fame, which is something a lot of people in Chicago don't seem to comprehend. He was also one of best at his position while he played, I thought everyone already understood that. I was also adding that for the next 30 years no one has surpassed that.
  2. I'll complain when I actually see Dunn in the field more.
  3. If you compare Santo to his peers, he begins to look much better. Plus defensively, he covered his position. No doubt he was a bubble candidate. One of those that there are great reasons for, and against.
  4. Lucky I live in the land of friendly, helpful people.
  5. Just want to know more?
  6. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Dec 5, 2011 -> 09:09 PM) It sounded like you were taking it personally. I like the Harry Potter movies, to be honest. I just wouldn't ever take them seriously enough to list any bad guys from them as villains. And that is probably the difference. I viewed him as a literary villian because I think of the books first. You think of the movies.
  7. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Dec 5, 2011 -> 06:45 PM) I wans't questioning the validity. It just seems too young for guys posting on this site to vote for. We all grew up with Disney villains. Harry Potter came out when most of us were 20+. In a list that has Cruella deVille, a Potter villians seem perfectly in character. The Harry Potter franchise changed YA literature and will be as classic as Disney to your grandkids. If anything, we're ahead of the curve in placing him on our list.
  8. Hey, seriously, have you ever experienced poor service in a National Park, from a NPS employee (not a concessionaire)? Post office? DMV? I can't think of a time.
  9. Frankly speaking, I have almost always experienced great service from government employees. From National Park Rangers, Passports, Post Office, CIA, ATF, FBI, they all rock in my book.
  10. And I kind of prefer he leave on his own free will than get kicked to the curb like Frank.
  11. I am at the point that I just wish Mark all the best. He deserves a fat paycheck for the next few years. It is always a gamble, but I would gamble on Mark giving his usual consistent season. I'd go with the high bidder and let it ride.
  12. I clicked on a golf thread, so maybe, yeah.
  13. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Dec 5, 2011 -> 01:57 PM) And it'd sadly also make him a top 5 Bears QB in about the last 25 years.
  14. QUOTE (greg775 @ Dec 5, 2011 -> 01:51 PM) Santo deserves it. He was one of the best of the best in his era. Congrats to Ronnie. Rest in peace. I saw him play, and with all due regard to Josh Fields, Santo was the best thirdbaseman that played in Chicago in my lifetime. I think it sucked that he wasn't elected during his lifetime.
  15. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Dec 5, 2011 -> 01:45 PM) Is Brett Favre also willing to blow me? Run out of guy prostitutes?
  16. That would be so cool if he is in shape. And by cool, I mean he is over the hill, and like 25% of his former greatness, which may just make him the Bear's starter.
  17. Before we go further, what happened was I dropped a Priority Mail envelope into the drop box without addressing the envelope. I was expecting a mailing label from the kiosk. When I called they found the letter, addressed it for me, and sent it on their way.
  18. Zero chance I will say anything negative about my post office. great employees, great service. They really just helped me out.
  19. I went through this when someone I knew was accused, then convicted of child pornography. My first reaction was disbelief. As I heard the rest of the story my reaction changed dramatically.
  20. X is a tough letter to get stuck with at the end of a Scrabble™ game.
  21. I heard Cain dropped out to spend more time with your wife.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Dec 4, 2011 -> 05:15 PM) They are kind of worthless from my experience. Some of them have to charge for hours to give a good one to your phone. I will be where there is no electricity and plenty of light. If it powers my phone's gps and camera, it may be cool.
  23. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Dec 4, 2011 -> 01:05 PM) Did you really vote for him, though? No, totally slipped my mind. I sucked at this list.
  24. Uber happy. I was just speaking with someone at Big Bend National Park, my New Years destination. They are adding a bar to the restaurant and the border crossing to Boquias, Mexico is re-opening I miss being rowed across the Rio Grande and having lunch and shopping for trinkets.
