Some of you may have read this in the Catch-All, but a kid (20 yrs old) from my high school died this past week in a car accident on the way to class, and he was on the Michigan Marching Band. Today, the marching bands of MSU, OSU, and Eastern Mich (only about 15 minutes from UMich), sent tokens of support to the Michigan Marching Bands, while all Big Ten schools sent a rose. This is a picture of all 11 roses where the kid usually stood while in the "M" formation: Class act by the local schools and by the Big Ten, especially for a kid who by all accounts was a great guy.

Agreed on not thinking KW is the best for that job, but it is what it is. They don't have to go into full rebuild to be successful in a few years, but they will have to build up the scouting department and development in the minors, especially when it comes to position prospects. We need to be able to develop consistent hitters from our system, while our pitching has actually been pretty good (though our SP prospects are dreadful currently). A few big investments in upgrading those areas and spending in the draft with some key trades here and there and the Sox could be a force again in a few years. They have enough talent to trade and build upon that they should be able to cut down the rebuild time significantly.

Truly sucks to be in that situation, I just don't understand how sleazy some people can be (I mean I see it everyday, even in parts of my family, I just don't get that behavior). And yea, money has to be the biggest reason why families fight.

Someone I knew from my high school (just knew of him) died in a car accident today (well, Monday). Just weird to see that someone so young (20 yrs old) can be taken away just like that (car accident on the way to school for him). It's also kinda weird but cool to see people reach out on facebook to send their condolences. I understand it's not the most personal, but for those who went out of state and were just in his classes in high school that is how they found out.

I really wish Ozzie worked out better in the long run, he was a likable son of a b**** for a long time, and it would've been so much better for the Sox if he did. But he shot himself in his own foot. I've been talking to this girl a bit the past few weeks, she's in a student organization Im in so we always go out but recently we've been drunk flirting a ton mixed with some dancing. It's a complete mismatch (she's absolutely beautiful), but we get along really well and apparently when I first joined the student organization she had a crush on me (which I doubt is really true, but I have no idea). Just trying to play it cool, be my usual nice guy, but at the same time I want to be more aggressive in terms of dating her. I don't want this to get stuck in friend status, she's the type of girl that I can have a real conversation with, then watch It's Always Sunny with, go party with, and show her off like Ruxin in The League does with his wife. I already lost another girl I was/am really interested in to friend status recently, and I just don't want that anymore.
