What's his name....you mean George Bell? And by the way juggernaut....I don't believe anyone has corrected you on your technicality mistake. Mark Prior was NOT the #1 overall draft pick in 2001, Joe Mauer was. Mark Prior was the #2 draft pick overall.

Tex, I know Jay Gibbons was a Rule V draftee, and he's pretty good, though I couldn't tell you for sure. I'm not exactly sure how long the Rule V draft has been going on.

Saints' Horn Makes Cell Phone Call

Atleast Joe Horn is original. -
Not again....I think that's like the 5th thread we've seen where either balls or dicks have been cut off. End the madness NOW! Do women understand what our stick and stones mean to us? Son-of-a-b****in cock-haters.

Congrats to Indiana, but I have a seroius question. How many Americans(I figured I should be more specific with foreigners on the board where soccer is more popular in their countries....and this post is not to offend them) actually care about soccer? Because I personally do not care about it at all. Personally, I think soccer is about the most boring sport to watch.

What? No way! You're not pissed about an Internet award? I do agree though. I've only been nominated like 3 times....wouldn't hurt my feelings had I not been nominated at all(though I thank those that nominate me)

We probably wouldn't even get a draft pick for him. If we offered him arbitration, he would accept it and make about $15 mill in 04 playing for us.
-
And by the way Beastly, Thomas is making $6 mill, not $8, and is MUCH more valuable than Maggs is.
-
So he's better then Gary Sheffield? I mean, Gary Sheffield is making $13 mill a year, so he must be. Or is Gary Sheffield just a bargain at that price? Point blank, Maggs is WAY overpaid. He's worth more like $8-$10 mill a year, and in a money-strapped organization, that $4-$6 mill can make all the difference in the world. Anyways, I think this is a moot point. I don't think we'll contend this year and Maggs will be gone by the trade deadline, probably along with Esteban. Atleast we'll be able to bring in a s***load of talent for them.

I did see it, and I do give Tillman credit, it was a hell of a pick. However, all I was saying was that if Culpepper throws a lob, Minny is leading. Culpepper is not a smart QB at all. In fact, if Minny had a good QB, they'd probably be about 10-4 and already had the division wrapped up. And I wouldn't say Moss is a pussy. I'd just say he took a few more plays off then usual.
-
Let it be known that Daunte Culpepper is quite possibly the worst redzone QB in the league. I mean, take that last Minnesota drive for example. If Culpepper throws a lob pass to Moss instead of trying to throw a dart in there, you are all either talking about how the Bears played well, but couldn't quite get it done, or how Rex Grossman had a very damn good last drive of the game. Point blank, you throw a lob pass, NO ONE is going to beat Moss. He's 6'4'' and has a 3 and a half foot vertical leap. No one in the NFL will beat him, unless you stack two on top of each other, and that's breaking the rules just a little bit. (this is all common knowledge to us, but Daunte Culpepper still hasn't figured it out, and he's been in Minnesota what like 4 or 5 years now?)

One hit against wiffle-ball throwing Shawn Estes. Wow, what a huge hit!

And last week, the deal was turned down by Dan Evans. It is good news to hear. Now that Drew has been sent to Atlanta, LA really has no where else to go, unless they think that Juan Encarnacion can turn their offense alone by himself.

I think the idea of moving Maggs to 3rd and Thomas to cleanup is very good. I was suggesting that as early as August and September. I think that a guy with a good average should be setting the tables and then a guy who hits home runs and is trying to hit home runs should be clearing the table. However, I do agree with quickman that Ozzie should not have said this to the public and that he should have just confronted Frank and told him his plans. Frank as well as the rest of the team may not be too happy with Ozzie right now.

LOL....I'd never thought of it that way, but you do have a point. Fitzgerald broke all kinds of records this year AS A SOPHOMORE, and is obvoiusly the best WR in college football. Chris Perry rallies his teammates and leads them to a thrashing of Ohio State and the Big Ten Championship, and as you said, Eli Manning resurrected Ole Miss. Meanwhile, Jason White and the Sooners CHOKE in the biggest game of the year, getting throttled 35-7. After saying that, which guy stuck out the most? Yeah, that's what I thought.

I can pretty much give you a rundown from what I remember GVSU got a field goal on their opening drive, nothing but defense for the rest of the first half, GVSU got a touchdown in the 3rd(made by Tennessee I believe) off of a fumble recovery when UND was in the redzone, UND kicked a field goal from about 35 out, and then got the ball with about 3:30 on the game clock left, drove down to GVSU's 35 or so, and spiked the ball when in reality they could have called a play and gotten further down the field. Instead they then got nothing after the spike and UND's QB threw a pick on 4th down. It's not like UND didn't have a chance to win. It was a pretty fun game to watch too.

I have two guesses. Either he makes himself comfortable on the bench, or he is traded.
-
I would not want to do Garcia for Maggs at any cost whatsoever. I do want to trade Maggs, mainly because of his salary, but KW himself said that if he traded Maggs, he'd get the most he could get for him. Garcia, IMHO, is not the most you could get for Maggs. We better get some good ass prospects if this trade goes through, which I hope it doesn't.

You apparently never heard why she had her name as "HotSoxChick", did you? It was not that she was a hot chick who cheered for the Sox, but rather a chick that cheered for the hot Sox(I would have to believe she created her name in 2000, when the Sox won the division). Get it?
-
Damn Grand Valley State! :finger Oh well, UND had their chance, and they choked. No big deal in my mind. I still think they should have run a play on the down where the spiked it and then they would have had a chance. BTW, I know Jesse Ahlers, and his brother and I are pretty good friends.

I'm pretty sure we do. I know we play the NL East, and there's a strong possibility that we play them. However, we would travel to New York to play them and not have them come here, which was the case in 2001, so Cameron does not get to see USCF this year.
-
And then look at their bullpen and look at ours. They actually have a half-decent pen, while we have Marte, Wunsch and then about 4 huge question marks. And do not forget that Elvis Hernandez, their opening day starter from last year, was only a rookie and his arm was pretty much dead in late July early August. I expect to see him a little stronger this year. As of right now, they would kick our ass.
-
Ha, Mike Cameron just did exactly the OPPOSITE of what Jim Bowden said he would do. Bowden basically said that Cameron had 3 offers on the table, one from Oakland, one from San Diego, and one from NY, and that NY's had the most money on the table. He said that he'd probably sign with Oakland because he thought he wanted to go to a winner and that he wasn't going for the money. Bowden = dumbass.
