I never said Colon was our best pitcher from last year. In fact, I believe, word for word, I said Loaiza was the best pitcher from last year on the White Sox. I said Colon was the most dominant pitcher. And from mid-August till mid-September, he showed that he was the most dominant pitcher. He was fooling nobody with his stuff, and people were still getting no where close to hitting him hard. That was dominance. Esteban was very good all year long, but he never seemed to totally dominate and shut people down. Maybe it was because of the fact that he never had a complete game or that he barely threw 200 innings or maybe just because of the fact that he just does not have overpowering stuff. Whatever it is/was, he just does not have overpowering stuff.

OK think what you want to. In my mind, no one on the White Sox was more dominant then Colon when he was on.

Loaiza was the best. However, Colon could just take over a game and not even give you a chance. Loaiza never did that. I remember watching a game last year against Boston on WGN and Hawk was talking about the night before how Colon basically said "You know what I'm going to throw you, see if you can hit it" and they could not. That is complete dominance. Loaiza never showed dominance. I don't remember one time this year when Loaiza was throwing and the opposing hitters had no chance whatsoever throughout a whole game. When I think of dominating pitchers, I think Clemens, Prior, Schilling....those types. Last year, over the last month and a half, Colon showed what he can do on any given night. Colon can be one of the most, if not the most, dominant pitchers in the game when he is on.

From what I read on Rotoworld, the Twins are not interested in Jones-for-Mantei, and for good reason. And Alomar15....we have only lost Gordon, Colon, Alomar, Sullivan, and Everett from last year, so yeah, we've only lost 2 of our better relief pitchers from last year(and that was from a s***ty pen), our most dominant starter, our 2Bman and spark, and our CFer and #5 hitter. So yeah, we haven't lost that much.

All I care about is NDSU and SDSU(that would be North Dakota State and South Dakota State). ........although it would be cool if ND brought it home. Then I could gloat and tell everyone about how this is the REAL ND and not this Notre Dame stands for ND s***. I also think it would be neat as s*** that my home state won a D-II national title two straight years(last year living in South Dakota, the SD women's team won the National Title in basketball). I have 10 times the upside Alomar does. In fact, with me only being 16, I probably have more upside then that even. Doesn't mean I'll amount to anything in the major leagues, does it? :dips*** And just for the record, Alomar apparently can run, because he was one of the best baserunners on the team last year. He can hit, because we wouldn't have had a chance in hell in the second half if he couldn't hit, and he apparently cares about more then just himself, since he is more then willing to lay down sacrifices if needed. I don't think people give enough credit to GameCube. Everything is about PS2 and XBox, and while I personally own an XBox, you gotta believe that there are a s***load of nice games out for GameCube. I think that I'm gonna get a job and then go out and buy a GameCube. I mean, when you look at all the games, you really see quite a few good games(most of the sports titles, but not all, and you get all the others as well, like Zelda, Mario Kart, etc, that only come out for Nintendo systems).

I don't know. Wickman ain't that good, but from what I can recall, Riske and Baez are pretty good pitchers, and Casey Blake fits the exact bill of a grinder. And I personally liked the Varitek trade. And Todd Walker....hello. I just wouldn't trade Blake for Day. We'd be stacked with relievers as it would be, especially if Wickman came back and pitched well. Riske, Baez, Marte, and Wunsch are all pretty good arms, and if we could trade something else to get Zach Day, I would be all for that move. I mean, we are basically rebuilding, are we not?
