The most important thing I got from all this.... Kids that are LA Dodger fans that yell at the opposition get yelled at and then get to watch their team get their ass handed to them by one of the best pitchers in the league.
-
That's very bad
-
Yep. Colon pitched a gem, Thomas and Crede both hit balls that haven't landed yet....also, Thomas went 3-3, Maggs had an RBI, DJ had an RBI, Carlos made a bone-headed play in the field, hit like s*** tonight, and Jose made one hell of a play in the field tonight. I think I covered everything for you. Maybe you should come home around 1:00 my time every night?

Give them Koch too....and Gordon if they want him. I'll take Nick Johnson and 1 or 2 good starting pitching prospects.
-
We still got a few days, chill out. We need, at a minimum, 12 teams....meaning we need 6 more. Do I need to spam more, or what? I'm telling everyone that doesn't believe me....this league is the s***. If you want to have a little fun in fantasy baseball, join on in!

I believe the deal on the table was Gagne for Howry....and KW got a little greedy and asked Evans for a prospect....and Evans pulled out. The rest is history. Also....I believe it was in the offseason before 2002.

And it's still June, we're still the White Sox, and school is still out until late August. Yep, everything remains the same around here!

I want to sign them as well. These guys could be our future. What I really want to do is get rid of 1 or 2 very large salaries to sign these guys. Get rid of Konerko and get whatever we can get for him, and get rid of Koch, though I'd get a little more for him....a pretty good prospect.

.255 average, OBP below .320. Yeah, he's not the problem. His ass needs to be traded. Look at the rest of the team!!! Ok. Frank, .282 BA and an OBP over .400. I actually like Carlos but tonite, you gotta admit, he sucked... No s***. If you defend him after a game like tonight, when even he and his family would admit he played like s***, then I'd have to say you're a little too obsessed.

No suspension is stupid s***. Ozzie Smith said it best. He said he's suspend SamME 30 games. The Cubs couldn't win!

Frank's average slowly inching towards .300

If he keeps this up, the Sox will (hopefully) be back to winning in no time. The only reason I have any hope for this season is because of Frank. If he gets on a roll, he can carry a team for months. Hitting is contagious....as soon as one guy starts hitting well, another does, and then another, and then another....and before you know it, you're putting up 15-20 hits a game and scoring 8-10 runs a game. The converse is also true....one guy starts hitting s***ty, then another does, then another does....and before you know it, you're getting 3-5 hits a game and scoring 1-3 runs a game. All-star??? How many other 1Bman in the AL are putting up better numbers? Delgado is ripping the f***ing cover off the ball, Huff in Tampa is playing pretty well and they have to have a rep(who else for them would go?), Giambi is a lock because of his name( ), Palmeiro in Texas too. I'd definately say there is a possibility that he could go, but my heart says that, unless we trade Loaiza before then/he starts blowing chunks, Loaiza is going. At this pace, we most likely will not have 2 reps. We'll have to get hotter then hell to get 2 reps. However, like I said above, if Thomas gets going, he can carry a team for months, and if he does....we could get hotter then hell. That's what's so fun about baseball....you never know. -
That truly is an incredible stat(considering Clemens I believe left today's game against the Cubs after 6 1/3 after 84 pitches); however, pitch count is an overrated stat. I could look at a guy and see him at 120 pitches and he's f***ing crusing, yet, I could look at another who is at 75 and is struggling to get out of the inning. You think I'm going to take out the pitcher at 120 pitches just because he's at 120 pitches? I don't think so. You think I'm going to leave the pitcher at 75 pitches in just because he is at 75 pitches? Hell no Bart was cruising, so the fact that he only had to throw 84 pitches is even more incredible. It is still 9 innings and it still helps me out a ton in my fantasy leagues!!!

Anybody could have a good spring in Arizona. That place is a hitter's paradise.

Heather, all errors cost us. They extend innings and give the other team an extra out. That one error didn't directly affect us in that particular inning, but if Carlos makes that play, the inning ends(or is ended an out earlier), and, assuming all things occurred in the same order, Cora's double in the 9th comes with 1 out, Lo Duca's ground out is the 2nd out, and Green's fly-out is the 3rd out, Colon gets a shutout. Carlos's error may not have had a direct affect on the game....but how many of Jose's errors directly affect us? I can answer that....very few do. However, they extend innings and make the pitcher work that much harder, and that extra work may break him down earlier then it would had he had error free ball behind him, and because of that, our pitching lets us down and we lose. Carlos NEEDS to make that catch....plain and simple.

Bostons minor league teams are bare, from what I understand. Meaning that if we did have a Colon for Sanchez package with minor leaguers involved, we'd be the ones giving up the minor leaguers.
-
I have to mow a guy's lawn. I say Clemens wins.....gets 300....and strikes out SamME 3 times.

No that would have been day two of the season. When KW was having his little press conference to announce nothing he and JM should have wrapped their arms around each other and rode off into the sunset. That was about 4 weeks ago. I meant like after 40 games. I wouldn't expect the organization to have done something so early in the season, I meant as in early or middle May. Too late now though. CWSOX45 I don't think it's too late. We still have a little over half the season. Stranger s*** has happened. But, it won't happen with Jerry Manuel at the helm

he did it again? what a jerk he is. Yes, he did it again. Atleast this time it was WTP. Do you realize that if he comes to Comiskey(which most likely, will happen) and he does his hop and the ball lands in an outfielder's glove, the reaction he will get? I will LMFAO if that does happen. -
Jim, that's a great post, and I'm sure the mods will thank you for this. They encourage constructive criticism such as this, and hopefully will consider what you have said from now on. I wish everyone the best...I hope all you guys get up here and see some success.

Same here. Real fans can see that he is what is holding the Cubs back.

The 2000 Sox team is definately my favorite Sox team of all time. I remember going to 4 games that year....2 tickets that I got for my birthday, and 2 that I won. The first game I saw....Fordyce hit a homer, and the Sox won 3-2....Mark Buehrle's first career win! The next game, I believe the Sox lost 5-1(their lone run coming from Jose Valentin who ended Minnesota's shot at a shutout with a homer in the 9th). Then, I went in September, and the first game the Sox won 5-3(Charles Johnson hit his 30th homer in that game). I also remember that game very well because Torii Hunter hit a ball that landed in the lap of a kid 1 row in front of us. The next game was a very memorable one for me. Through the first 5 innings or so, I believe Sean Lowe had a 1-hitter going. He was taken out, and at the time, I didn't know why(I do now though). I believe at the time of his departure, the Sox were up like 5-0 or 5-1. And some time, during the game, I remember a score being shown on the screen....the Indians-Royals game. The Royals had won....and the Sox started celebrating. Me, being the dumbass I was, finally realized what the hell was going on about 10 seconds later...the Sox had won the division! I also remember AJ Pierzynski beginning his killing of us, hitting a ball that hasn't landed yet, and then Matt Lawton, hitting a walk-off homer in the bottom of the 10th. And then the Sox got cheated out of the playoffs. Damn Carlos Guillen....asshole stepped on the plate. That's worse then Sosa corking his bat!

When 2 of the 3 hits are homers.....you are damn lucky you didn't give up 6 or 7 hits.
-
I heard about that. Was that the same thing that caused Marty Cordova's set back in like 1999 and 2000?
-
Off the top of my head, didn't Baldwin have an ERA of like 6.00 in LA?

As soon as I get the money, the game I'm getting is WSB 2k3 BTW....I just got an XBox the other day....bought off of eBay.
