  1. Bit early to count on either Colson or Ramos at third. At first, he's arguably bottom quintile offensively.
  2. Sosa with some big pop to RCF. Hard to believe he only has four homers. Almost got caught watching it instead of running out of the box.
  3. At least Grant Taylor and Benintendi showed up. And Vargas looking dangerous again recently.
  4. Harold must be related to Grady Fuson in Moneyball…the quintessential “old school,” you can just tell by the sound of his bat on contact scout.
  5. https://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/breaking-news/article/both-managers-ejected-in-dodgers-padres-brawl-after-fernando-tatis-jr-hbp-sd-retaliates-with-shohei-ohtani-plunking-053409656.html
  6. The funny thing is that while Birmingham has a decent record overall, they have pretty much zero legit everyday position prospects. They rode Smith/Taylor/Schultz to an extent, but zero outfield prospects and only Bergolla/J.Gonzalez have any real upside at all, and that seems more like utility infielder ceilings, at least for the moment.
  7. He had a really poor read on a ball to the outfield that glanced off his glove. In theory, it was a broken bat that he couldn't hear/identify over the shouts of Cardinals' fans. Injuries like this are par for the course for mid 30's outfielders, pretty much an endangered species anymore in MLB.
  8. Not quite. 2023 61-101 2024 41 wins 2026 50 wins (projected) 2027 59-103 (Season 4 with 100 or more losses) 2028 68-94 2029 77-85 2030 (mired in mediocrity)
  9. Well, they're definitely not going to take Steven Wilson back.
  10. More like the race with the Rockies to the very bottom...
  11. Somehow you just knew they weren't going to win it by ONE run with an 83% chance of losing (4/24, soon to be 4/25=16%)
  12. Nick Maton's brother in...John Rooney reminiscing about when the screen extended all the way up to the press box area from behind the plate.
  13. Now up to Class A Salem. "Fajardo was among the top arms in the Florida Complex League to begin the 2025 season. In six appearances (four starts) for the FCL Red Sox, the 18-year-old right-hander posted a 0.44 ERA and 2.71 FIP with 24 strikeouts to seven walks over 20 2/3 innings pitched. Opposing hitters batted just .134 against him."
  14. Would you rather face Donovan? This pen sucks regardless of managerial decisions.
  15. Error turns into the go-ahead run. Seems like quite a few Cardinals fans in attendance.
  16. Comedy of mistakes in second half of the game. Why warm up a RHP only to NOT use him against Walker????? Fortunate. Of course, putting in a righthander puts Donovan into the game as well.
  17. Last time a Cards' pitcher had four K's in an inning dates back to Bob Gibson...Matz ties record.
