Resilient White Sox/AL Central Attendance, somehow up 1.8% YoY for first 21 home dates
NY @ Detroit 14,156 Minnesota @ KC 13,008 CHW @ CLE 33,722 (obviously terrible weather conditions, but that's kind of a warning sign for the Guardians to be be closer to 30K than 38,000)

Even Martin Maldonado (clearly one of the worst players in baseball last year) has been relatively decent in SD...hitting over the Mendoza Line, at least.

https://www.milb.com/news/former-water-polo-player-sam-abbott-adapting-with-chicago-white-sox-293789676&ved=2ahUKEwi93bzJ8cmMAxX5OTQIHfcrEHUQFnoECBYQAw&usg=AOvVaw12PF55iMCFQ4AEqu745aO0 Maybe draft more water polo players like Sam Abbott? Heck, we might need to go back to investing in Indian cricketers as a concept, lol.

The weird part was SEEMINGLY more blamed KW than Hahn around SoxTalk, relatively...but KW actually had a great, almost amazing historical Sox track record (overall) compared to Hahn in terms of actual winning and losing, working within the imposed constraints of the JR's budgets especially. The farm system was not invested into heavily...it was simply for acquiring more proven vets the majority of the time, same with Latin America (other than the developing Cuban Connection). And Williams really KNEW talent and how to identify it. Whether he could afford it or not was always the question. Rick Hahn had ZERO ability to assess talent on a personal basis. Free agent signings were almost always bad...and zero ability to assess character with Grandal, Lynn, Graveman, Moncada, Robert and Eloy (only Hendriks was truly a "winning" ballplayer). I'm actually not so sure that Chris Getz is any better, which is hard to believe based upon his professional baseball career and being around the success of the Royals from 2013-2017. Also having a hard time seeing Chris Getz winning AL Executive of the Year anytime in the near future, as Hahn did in 2019. Heck, even Paddy won Scout of the Year not too long ago, more a lifetime achievement type of award.

He partied with Sox minority owner's kid during Covid...when playing for Indians/opposing team. Z.Plesac as well. JR wanted to avoid tampering charges for one thing.

And/or stop fighting with their brother over their father's (treasured) autographed baseball collection. That fits the White Sox image a lot better...Pogofsky kids who were born with silver spoons/Sox minority shares dancing in their heads.

We had a chance to win?

Soon Clevinger against his former team... The reaction/greeting from home fans should be interesting. Clase will be in for 9th. Already scored upon twice this year.

Smith era at 1.59. Which means Ramirez will homer. Ofc a squib hit. Trying to homer...hit it off the end of the bat.

The presence of Teel and Quero gives them additional cheap 1B/DH options...
