  1. Kirby or Gilbert? They will have to empty out the farm.
  2. Surprising we didn't have a more productive deadline with KW and Hahn actively working so well together...Getz was likely the icing on the cake. So Chris must have agreed on trading Burger over Anderson.
  3. Both GMs have jobs to do. The Orioles are under more pressure from the East than the Getz is from Reinsdorf. White Sox only seem to care about saving money at this point. Certainly not the fans.
  4. Seriously...when opposing teams are down and desperate....coming to their board to lord over yet another #1 farm system that they almost completely refuse to trade from isn't going to go over very well.
  5. You would think he was a 2017-2019 White Sox fan...too cocky before they'd even really accomplished anything.
  6. https://www.thebaltimorebanner.com/sports/orioles-mlb/orioles-tyler-wells-stress-balance-4UMTOASB65HQTN6YZ7A27LJMYI/
  7. And Kjerstad has to hit without any other dynamic tools and limited positional flexibility...
  8. Why would the White Sox possibly want Wells? Just like the Bummer trade...the Orioles will push back guys on the bottom 10 of the big league roster they don't want to pay full freight. Would rather have Santander or Mullins to flip and/or solidify outfield defense compared to Sheets...if they have already given upon on Colas.
  9. Whatever happens now, if he goes to the Orioles, it's going to end up with a 2nd UCL surgery just out of spite...just like the same fate if the Sox hold onto him too long and push their luck to the TDL. Not that Dylan deserves it in any way shape or form, but just because of the cursed nature of this franchise and owner. The Sox have lost so much talent from where the team was in July 2021 that it's a once every 25-30 year cataclysm of bad moves.
  10. So Top Ten in accumulated fWAR for pitchers over a rolling three year period sounds pretty decent.
  11. Not exactly replacing Verdugo…will just have to wait and see. Red Sox not exactly competing, but not exactly throwing in the towel. Tough spot to be in that division.
  12. They save $8-10 million or so on players sent off to White Sox…
  13. -$17 million is the key for them. No starting spot for Grissom.
  14. Montas, Ryu, Lorenzen…Baltimore realistically can’t afford Imanata. If they’re 100% sure about Bradish and Rodriguez, then no move is necessary. Just like there was a time Michael Kopech had that type of buzz surrounding him.
  15. That's assuming you knew all along the Orioles wouldn't consider that type of deal (with only money surrendered) to be better than being forced to trade from their minors in order to conserve payroll. They certainly lose some leverage without that option.
  16. It tells us they're not going to get anything more than Tier C bargain basement pitchers at $12-13 million and under. $12-13 million is the new $7-8.

  18. So far we are focusing on guys that have been non-tendered, rejected by the Korean league or incapable of making the Royals line up. A unique strategy to say the least Lewis not a viable starting outfielder at this point. Would be better than Gallo or Sheets though.
  19. They’re so deep now Kopech can be the closer when Santos is declared out for the year.
  20. Like Gonzalez Basabe Walker Rutherford Call Adolfo etc.
  21. Every team in the East would have a good chance to win the Central…
  22. Not even a pretense of hitting the ground running…at least 50% of the argument behind Getz.
