6/8 Games
Might as well just send Baldwin to AAA or the White Sox while he's on such a tear. Unreal break out so far. Sustainable?...we shall certainly see.

6/8 Games
44 pitches through 3. 3 hits. Will he be allowed to go 5 instead of the usual 4 and maybe pick up a victory?

Miami Marlins’ Tim Anderson Hits Bereavement List, Won’t Get Rematch With José Ramírez Tim Anderson was suspended six games for fighting Cleveland Guardians third baseman José Ramírez in 2023, but the Miami Marlins shortstop won't be active for the rematch on Friday. Anderson is batting .188 with zero home runs, six RBI, three stolen bases, a .427 OPS and a -1.2 WAR through 48 games in 2024. He also missed time with back and thumb injuries earlier this season, as well as an illness.

Aha that explains it. Triantos double.

Montgomery .222/.705 two strikeouts Yikes. Triantos double stolen base and single touches up Schultz for one run in the first. 1.04 ERA

June 8th. Game 2 of Winning Streak. Nastrini's turn to Stand Up.
Bello was one of the two recipients of significant contract extensions in their early RED SOX careers, along with Raffaela most controversially (because of his limited offensive upside, mainly).

June 8th. Game 2 of Winning Streak. Nastrini's turn to Stand Up.
Larry? Why? He's more of an Orioles' fan favorite, and probably watches equal amounts of that team to the White Sox...who he would probably deliberately avoid viewing if his son wasn't in the starting line-up.

Trade GAVIN SHEETS NOW/TODAY Movement just launched....or relaunched. Still 6/9th's of the line-up at 651 or lower OPS numbers. Julks Sheets DeJong the three exceptions to the rule. Robert as well, although sitting today. Korey Lee as well.

Fire Pedro Grifol
Bradley and Carl Everett...who was quite well behaved during his time in Chicago.

June 7th. BoSox vs Crochet. Streak-Ender.
It's going to REALLY suck if they manage to snatch Crochet's victory from him after how well he's pitched recently. Just because it was Jonathan Cannon of all pitchers turn to throw today...so let's just throw him into what will quickly be a high lever situation (self-induced).

But won't be so great watching him pitch for Dodgers, Braves, Yankees, etc. From the Sox perspective, I guess, they just need to keep him healthy to maximize the trade return as much as possible, especially with Robert's value off quite a bit now.

Not a great idea with those Campfire Milkshakes. Have to take out insurance for those things with how dear they are.

June 7th. BoSox vs Crochet. Streak-Ender.
Seems about the dumbest possible time in history to throw Cannon into a game. We'll see how it works. But guessing probably not very well.

112 k's in basically 81 IP. Leading the major leagues in K's now. Cease and our old jersey-cutting friend Chris Sale 4/5 in that category. Almost friend Wheeler #6.

White Sox "actively seeking" packages for Robert
Confusing winning percentage with talent/potential. Quite often not a very clear correlation at all...well maybe Sox affilates in 2021-22-23.

No hitter off the board early as well as the potential shoutout tonight.

2024: AL Central Thread
The point is, Gil, who has basically turned into Gerrit Cole in Cole’s absence, is doing Fernando-esque things … and increasingly getting Fernando-esque hype. Gil (pronounced “Heel,” by the way) was never all that heralded by the Yankees or the Twins, the team that traded a 19-year-old Gil to New York in March 2018, for outfielder Jake Cave. But Gil is now doing things almost no Yankee has ever done, including giving up just one hit in six scoreless innings three days after winning the AL Pitcher and Rookie of the Month Awards. We all wondered how the Yankees would handle losing their ace for the first half of the season. By the time Cole comes back, the Yankees will have two – one that they landed with a huge free-agent deal, and one that they apparently created out of thin air. mlb.com Jake Cave? REALLY??? Gil just beat the Twins this past week to add insult to injury. Amazing scouting work with both him and Cortes last season. Having that massive scouting budget really makes a difference on the margins for teams like the Dodgers, Yankees, etc. Man, between this one and Junior Caminero going from CLE to TB in a steal, the AL Central would have been even more difficult for the White Sox to ever contend, even though those pesky Guardians do get the #1 overall the Sox SHOULD be getting with how historically bad 2023-24 have gone.

Bassitt is too expensive now and on the downside. Would have to look at Frank Montas, too, but he's not exactly super cheap, either.

2024 MiLB Catch All
Jacob Gonzalez playing shortstop and second base in Double-A (mlb.com) Love how Gonzalez has gone from this past offseason to a "slugging" hitting prospect, lol...it's going to take more than a couple of weeks of hot hitting at BIRM to actually earn that moniker.

White Sox "actively seeking" packages for Robert
Following up: White Sox give notice of first staff reductions (soxmachine.com) Still can't find the numbers for the Sox "massive" cuts this past offseason...has anyone like perhaps Fegan or Greenberg reported them? This details the large cuts caused by the pandemic "losses," but hasn't been followed up with since they axed Williams and Hahn and Haber and went to a totally new front office, at least in terms of figureheads.

2016 White Sox Top Prospects (mlb.com) Other than Anderson, what a bust of a group...geez, that's one of the uglier Sox prospect lists.

2025 Old Sock Drawer
What would the Sox record be with Rodon, Reynaldo, Dunning, Cease, Bassitt, Sale....be as the starting six? At least 10-15 games below .500 with this current offense, but not a catastrophic failure of a team.

Fire Pedro Grifol
How did Luis Robert miss all that yelling and shouting, thought h was more of a Jerry Manuel type.

https://www.fangraphs.com/players/rafael-devers/17350/stats?position=3B JR never would never have authorized his extension, but obviously they would had three hauls coming back via trade rather than merely two.
