Why didn't the White Sox just claim/sign Ramon Laureano when he was waived so they didn't have to worry about RF defensively? Once you clear Crochet and Montgomery…there’s not even really any obvious candidates that you would confidently place on a 2025-27 Sox team and consider for early extensions. Schultz, at some point. If he can maintain his health and continue upping his innings. There’s just no way you can justify Vaughn at this point. And that’s pretty much it.

Other than Robert and Montgomery…struggling to find more than two Sox starters if you combined the active rosters and AAA teams of both organizations. And then if you were selecting just SS, you would still clearly have both Henderson and Holliday over Montgomery. Some would undoubtedly argue for Mayo over there at third (over Montgomery) if you were able to change positions to fit them all together in a lineup..

Next time they'll have to throw Dom Fletcher...much better fastball, low 90's, touching 93. Or return Oscar Colas to the mound in the mid 90s.
