It is trending in the right direction, they’re still a bad baseball team. We don’t need a new gotcha thread every time they win a couple games. Anything good that’s not controllable will be stripped off this team in the next month or so, they are still a ways off from being a competitive team.

Such a dumb thread, you realize this team is the second worst team in baseball and pacing out for like 55 wins right? “At least they’re marginally better than the worst team in baseball history” is as low of a bar you can get. These turds always come out after they win a couple games before they inevitably look totally inept again.

They get on base, it’s sorely needed. Once they get Colson up here it’s going to be really exciting finally to watch these games.

If the ball was hit to SS, sure, but this was a ball to 2B and the fielder was going the opposite direction. They won and it didn’t matter, but still would like to see a better effort than that.

It would have been way more fun to be at that game than have to listen to Schriffen shovel s%*# at me the whole time lol

I think Schriffen is the cause of a lot of my disdain for the White Sox. Just listening to him describe this team like their in first place just annoys the s%*# out of me.

Honestly, the way I interpreted his comment was if he was too valuable to trade at 4 years control left he would probably still be at minimum as valuable with 3 years control left but an increase in production. Which makes sense to me.

Assume he never gets right and ends the season hitting .200 with a .590 OPS. I would go ahead and say there is no chance that they pick up a $20M option, I just can't see that happening. His 2024 sucked, his 2025 is atrocious. This isn't a bad few months were looking at here, it would be two years of bad and as a business decision you can't give $20M to it when you can get out of it.

Because Robert being a 5WAR player with 3 years of control left would still get you a very nice package in a trade. I suppose you could imagine a world where he took another step and was like a 7-8 WAR player which would obviously increase his value.
