  1. Whats even realistic for Fields at this point for teams that need a starter now? Minnesota, Denver.... that's it right?
  2. I would say its not amazing at all, in fact, pretty much expected. This team is going to be hot garbage. The main thing I want to see is how long we have to watch these washed up vets on the roster before they let young guys get chances. How long will we have to watch Sheets gets rotated between DH/1B/OF before they finally cut the cord.
  3. Didn't realize he was rising that much already. That doesn't help the situation, and now looks like Raiders are out of it as well.
  4. While this is true, most teams that really need a starting QB are in position to be able to just draft their own guy and have him for 5 years. Just looking at the top 10, Tennessee is the only one that really makes sense but it sounds like they want to stick with Levis. After that, its Broncos and Raiders. Broncos I don't see it, they are hitting the rest button. The Raiders might be the only realistic option at this point. And even then, there are guys like JJ McCarthy, Michael Penix, and Bo Nix who could be there in the second round.
  5. Meh, QBs these days can play to 40 so they will probably get a pretty good run out of him.
  6. Comparable, Josh Rosen was taken 10th overall in 2018. He played one season for Arizona and did not do very well as a rookie, Arizona ended up with the #1 pick and took Kyler Murray and Rosen was traded to Miami for a 2nd round pick. Now, this was 1 year after being taken 10th overall. Fields has 3 years of tape now and none of them have been very good in regards to an NFL QB. Is it possible they could get a 2nd round pick from someone, I suppose so, but im having a hard time seeing a team that fits it. I think it will end up being a 3rd or later.
  7. How does it not add up? Kirk Cousins is a very good starting QB in the NFL. Justin Fields is not. What exactly makes Fields worth a respectable draft pick? Because he was a high pick?
  8. He's a good player, but hes not an elite player. Hes going to get a huge contract because that's just how it works in free agency. High motor guy, good player, but not an elite level player.
  9. Mac Jones had a nice rookie season, then had Matt Patricia as his OC and has regressed. Why are they tied together? Their both former first round QBs who stink.
  10. Ok, Fields is an athletic QB who isn’t accurate and can’t read the field. Both aren’t very good and won’t command high end compensation.
  11. If Mac Jones value is a 6th round pick, I think there’s no way you get a 2nd for Fields.
  12. The majority of the time I see them, they're roadkill.
  13. That can't be true, they're around.
  14. Disagreed, but im not going to continue arguing about that trade so good day sir.
  15. Even if Burger is a .280 hitter with 20-25 HR's hes another slow plodding big man who is bat only. Ive had enough of that here, would rather have the potential for a starting rotation option.
  16. Its ok, once his wrist heals he will be good again.
  17. Majority of people were pretty disappointed with how 2022 went, but I would say I don't believe anyone who tries to say with a straight face they saw this team winning 61 games in 2023.
  18. Either way, a 61 win season wasn't in the realm of possibilities going into last season. Most thought Tony was the problem as well as playing in a terrible division.
  19. I mean the 2023 team was expected to contend, most would agree I imagine. That was quickly ended before the first month though.
  20. Mike Soroka hasn't started more than 6 games in a season since 2019 and has made 9 starts total since that 2019 season. If he shows a glimpse of anything he should be traded as quickly as possible.
  21. In reality, taking a playoff aspirations club and winning 61 games should have gotten you fired. Coming back the next season and winning 55 games should without a doubt get you fired. Even winning 68 games, should get you fired. In White Sox land, where there is no accountability and the leash is miles long, you are probably right. He will most likely be here next season as well, if nothing more than JR saving himself from paying two managers at once.
  22. I don't care how bad they are, I am ready to watch the Sox every day and curse the off days because its boring without it.
  23. After I saw the original post I went to go look at his 2023 season and he was actually pretty solid for us and then completely fell off the cliff when he was traded so I would imagine this had something to do with it. He was awful.
  24. If Soroka bounces back and is a solid #3 starter than you can probably kiss his ass goodbye as he will either be traded or let walk to FA, I can't see anyway they give him a contract comparable to what he could get on the open market these days.
