I almost can't wait to see what they do today! This is the White Sox way of being "must see" television! ?

The White Sox had their chance last fall. They could have brought in outside people to run the club, clean some house, and install a new culture. Within moments of them saying all options are on the table, JR put his foot down again and said "No...I need my 'Yes Men' to run the club." No real contention or change will happen until there is new ownership.

A long-term winner was there for the taking. Management sat on their hands, didn't build via Free Agency, and gave the skipper job to the owner's washed up buddy. They killed morale, created a toxic environment, and set everything back. I guess back to back playoff years and early exits is all we will get from "The Window"

If Cease put in back to back Cy Young caliber years...I bet we get Snelling. Still I'd give this a C+.

Leiter needs a change of scenery definitely.

You won't get them...You could get Leiter, Foscue, or Walcott.

The Rangers have a better farm system. You could get a quality haul for Cease.

I would put Houston back to the NL South and Nashville into the AL South. Keep Texas Separate...?

Be snarky all you like to begin this response...It doesn't raise your level of discourse at all. Also realize you (and others here) are in a incredibly small group being glad about one the best broadcasters in baseball is now leaving your club. He grew up a bigger fan than you, overcame huge obstacles and still became a top PBP man in Chicago and nationwide He is so highly regarded around the country compared to any of his colleagues. He will now promote, even indirectly, the Detroit Tigers, when he is on Fox and ESPN. Finally understand how this is symptom of the bigger White Sox disease and being complacent to it...helps them spread it.

When you let the Sox get you to ignore the symptoms...they will continue to let their disease spread. Thats all I'm saying.

I'll take this anyway I want. He was one of the best in the country, grew up a fan, and we had him and let him go. Its indicative of this franchise and the bad moves they make on and off the field. If you can't see that and try to minimize this as "just the announcer" then you are helping enable their behavior. They want fans to not care.

Rangers took two seasons....but they had quality talent in the pipeline before Seager and Semien and then Eovaldi and Degrom. Jung, Heim, Lowe, Garcia, and Carter. Hence my comment about young talent. They have to do all three, not just spend. Then you're the Mets.

The White Sox can rebound...They can be that team that loses 90-100 and wins in a couple years. BUT They have they have to spend the money and spend it wisely (enough bullpen big contracts) Hire GOOD coaching to keep the team focused all season. They have to start DEVELOPING Young talent. No more drafting and signing talent and letting them "find themselves". Will they? Probably not.

I always wished my second World Series parade would be in Chicago again... But taking my youngest son to his first parade (my oldest got to go in 2005) will be special.

Bochy had a previous relationship with Rangers GM Chris Young. That and the promise to get good players helped lure him out of retirement. I don’t think the Sox could have matched that.
