I would still like to see them trade Collins + prospects to the Pirates for Starlin Marte. Maybe even expand that trade to make it Marte + RP Keone Kela since he's only got 1 year left on his deal anyway.

I think RoS was better than TLJ for sure, but I still liked The Force Awakens more. The reviews about it being extremely and over the top fan service was true. A couple of things towards the end seemed really out of place and strange. But it was definitely action packed and a thrill ride. But they had many, many chances to really put their stamp on this trilogy and they really played it safe and made sure they gave everyone a soft landing. Didn't hate it, I'm not mad, but it just seemed it was just fine. Series finales are tough though, and Rian Johnson shitting on the middle act of the trilogy doesn't help.

Just like Ted winning in the 4th season of The League, we yet again have this random guy that one person recruited to the league when we needed a last minute spot.....win for the 2nd year in a row. 3 yrs/$56M is something I would like to see for Ryu. which means it will probably take something like 4 yrs/$70M.

Thank God the Sox didn't get him, and that price isn't bad, so it shouldn't inflate Ryu's market much.

Fuck that. Take on every dollar of Price's contract. 3 yrs/$96M. The Sox don't seem hot to spend the money anyway, so the more money the White Sox take on, the better the return. Figure out a way to get Benintendi, or JDM, or if they don't want to subtract from their major league roster, take Noah Song, Gilberto Jimenez, one of their better prospects.

If you are going to flip Mazara, then see how badly the Marlins wanted him and try to offer a package with Mazara for Caleb Smith, or to the Tigers for Mathew Boyd. I'm not totally sure why the Red Sox would want Mazara.

Nomar Mazara was the worst qualified OF against LHP last year with a 55 wRC+. You know who would have been a perfect platoon for him since that's really all he can be trusted for?......Hunter Renfroe, who I wanted before he got traded to the Rays. 139 wRC+ career vs. LHP. Sigh...

Last year he nearly acquired Pederson who also had 2 years left. Now Pederson only had 1 year left and we again heard they had discussions. When he said no quick bumps, I assumed he meant 1 year deals. Morton has 1 year left, plus a club option for 2021. That's even better than 2 years guaranteed.

Speaking of the Rays, I don't know if anyone has mentioned it yet, but I would love to see the Sox look in to what the Rays would want for Charlie Morton. Had a Cy Young type season last year, but is old and only has 2 years left, so I could see the Rays be willing to sell high on him. I wonder if they could work out a package around Reynaldo Lopez and a couple prospects.
